orrick, mo | I was doing some work in my garage and wanted the Vision out of the garage so I went to start it up to ride it out. When I turned the key on nothing, no lights , no fuel pump just nothing. It was late so I just pushed it out just thinking the battery was dead. Well today I put the charger on and it would not turn on meaning the battery
is charged. The battery cables are good and tight and the bike was running fine the last time I rode. I guess I'll start checking fuses tomorrow. If that does not pan out I'll pull the battery and have it checked but after that I'll be at a loss at what to do. Anyone ever had this problem or have any suggestions I would appreciate the advice.
I missed a great day to ride today.

Lum, MI United States | First check the battery with a meter or 12V circuit tester. you can do this with out removing anything. that will tell you if the battery has any power at all. |

Jasper, MO | I had a battery die on my SC and it acted just like that. My voltmeter showed that it was charged. My battery charger wouldn't kick in and thought the battery was charged. Then I tried checking the voltage with the ignition turned on--the voltage went way down. Ignition off--voltage came back up.
Then I tried boosting the battery with jumper cables. The bike fired right up, but died as soon as I removed the cables.
The battery was bad. New battery and all is well.

| like the man said check the wires at the base of the switch. Turning the key on sends power to every thing if you have power. The weakest of weak battery should still light up the gauges or very dim radio light |

orrick, mo | I checked the battery voltage and it was 0. I got it to take some charge but after a couple hours on the charger the bike dash lights come on the battery quickly dies again. I'll let it charge all night but I would say the battery is bad. The bike is a 09 and it has the original battery still. Thanks for the suggestions |

| Don't waste anymore time, get a new one, it's not holding a charge. The only chance to save that Battery is flush it out with water to get the sediment out of the bottom & refill with new acid. Never going to do that again! |

Jell battery's Never get corrosion on terminals like old acid filed battery's |

orrick, mo | After about 19 hours on the charger it finally got fully charged and started right up. |

Davenport, IA | I replace my batteries every 4 years regardless! That's right, keeps you from getting stranded whether in your own driveway or in a foreign land! |
