Greetings. I'm new to this Forum. Currently have an old Honda ST1100 , but got the opportunity to learn about Victory Cross Country's and Vision's after doing an Iron Butt Ride recently where a husband & wife both were riding Cross Country's.

I have been doing research on the VV doing internet searches as well reading this Forum. I am impressed more and more with the VV. Was thinking of getting a GW F6B in the near future, but now have decided a VV is the way to go.

BTW, if any of you Victory Riders are interested in doing an Iron Butt ride August 22nd in Michigan,

Welcome to the site NEWJAV. I think you should be happy with your decision. The VV is a long distance pack camel in addition to being the most comfortable scooter I have ever ridden myself. Many VV owners/vision-rider website folks hold IBA memberships. I would be interested in doing a the 50cc IBA run if anyone is interested will meet you in CA. Thanks, Vlad.

I came off a GW back in 2011. I couldn't wait to get rid of it. 1st ride of of the shoot, I was able to ride 2 1/2 hours without getting off the bike and have every part of my anatomy screaming at me. The Vision has been a very dependable comfortable bike for me. After 82.5K miles I plan to keep this bike until it dies. If Victory decides to cease production, I will be looking for another new or used one to have as a spare.

I did an SS1000 last Oct on my Vision. Was smiling for days afterwards. May be doing a BB1500 this weekend, we'll see how things line up.

The vision is such a reliable and comfortable distance bike it make the ironbutt rides a non event. Save your 45.00 and enjoy the miles anyway!

Can't do anything wrong while sitting on the finest touring bike and enjoying the miles. Except for the alcan washing out on us for a week all my trips have been easy thanks to this vision. But I can't blame the vision for the washout : )

I completed my 20th IBA ride on a Victory in June. Everyone of them was an adventure!

That is a sweet list you have for sure. Can't keep track of how many I've done. The vision has made everyone much more enjoyable than the others that's for sure.

Did my first SS1000 combined with a BB1500 last April. It was a great time on the VV. Never did get "saddle sore" or "bun burner" on the stock VV seat. Just gave away my Airhawk 2 cushion to a lady that rides a GW trike. Never, needed it on the VV. Planning a trip to Sturgis next year, can't wait.

Not for me. Like I mentioned in earlier post. I just keep the 45 bones and ride anyway. Either way, the miles and smiles the vision provide are priceless

Anyone interested in doing the 50cc? That's from west coast to east coast under 50hours. I am planning on doing this sometime in the fall. My gas stops average around 15-20 minutes and I do not stop in between fill ups, usually. My interstate cruising speed averages 75-85mph. Anybody have a similar riding style/speed and want to do this hit me up. The reason why I am mentioning the info specifics is I do not want to hold anybody up when on an IBA run or vice versa. Just bought a 13 VV and was wondering where and how did you mount and power your gps, and I've only put 1000 miles on my vision and was wondering what kind of fuel range you were getting, so far I am averaging about 225 per tank. Coming from a Honda ST1100 this seems very low so more fuel stops with the Vision (I know its a bigger bike and engine) Just curious about your experience.

The Vision has a 6 gallon tank, and on most of them, the low fuel light comes on with about 1 to 1.5 gallons left in the tank. Think of that like the old reserve position petcocks of the old bikes. An overall average around 40 to 42 MPG is typical on these bikes, so you have 40 to 60 miles to find a station when the low fuel warning comes on.

Depending on the riding conditions, my bike has gotten everything from 38 MPG when riding fast into strong winds, to 52 MPG in ideal conditions. Neither number is commonplace. Like you, I typically need to get gas around 220 to 225 miles on the tank. That computes to low 40s for MPG, figured by hand. The tripmeter will probably lie to you. They tend to be optimistic.

I figure I have 6 gallons that will take me 240 miles. I have never run out of gas yet.
