New Bohemia, VA | It's raining here in CVA and not all over the world. Not a hard decision to make as to whether I was riding or not. I have no stand in at the moment, and it wouldn't have made a different no how. The fun part was keeping my googles clear on such a rainy ragged morning, at 48 degrees. Also at 6:30 it is still dark up to after 7. I usually wear a bandana over my nose and mouth and that pushes the fog over the inside of my googles. The bandana keeps the stinging off the face when it is raining and otherwise filters the air and keeps the sun off. But I had to pull it down to fight the fogging, yet the rain drops make for a kalidascope of lights from signs, street lamps, headlights, taillights, trucker lights, etc. Sometimes I feel like I borderline on down right foolishness, but find I would not trade it for anything else in the world. | I dont ride the vic in the rain as much as i did my bmw lt. That bike I would stay dry. Not so much now. Sure its better than most though. |

| The LT. No question stayed way dryer. Especially the face. Maybe I need a new windshield but I cannot find the spot that blocks the wind like it did. Plus it had more deflectors. |

Alberta, Canada | When we were coming back from BC this summer we ran in to a wicked rain storm by Banff. It was raining so hard it was terribly hard to see, so I locked in behind a set of taillights and carried on!! When we arrived at our hotel I was completed dry, but my passenger didn't fair as well!!! Over 10.000 miles now and not one single problem!! Reading some of the other threads I find it hard to believe some of the complaints people have. To me it shows a lack of a sense of reality, or they haven't had lots of biking exper! This is the most comfortable, great handling bike, (considering it's weight), I have ever owned. Also my dealer who is 5 minutes away is fantastic!!! |

New Bohemia, VA | It's hard to say on an NC trip anytime soon. I hopin' either 24 or 31 October.
I spent 20 years in the Army, 10 in the 82d Airborne Division. We got exposed to some challeging conditions for training and most of our training was done in the winter months. That can get real nasty in the woods of fort bragg, but looking back, chiggers were murder so I can understand why. However, everything we rode in was convertible, with the top down, except the cab of the larger trucks. I spent many of miles going to and from a field exercise or jump riding in the back of duece and half, cold and wet and not top.
Riding in adverse conditions is a piece of cake, especially knowing I have a choice. |

LaPorte,Tx. | I had a great morning yesterday, rode the "Dragon" in a steady rain. There was a ton of leaves falling on the road which made the road slippery, so had to hold back in some areas, but is was still fun. Only saw two other bikes on the road, one pulling a trailer. Hopefully someday I'll get back there when it is dry. |
