| I ride and love the Suzuki M109 Boulevard. The power is incredible. I'm worried about the loss of power I'll experience moving over the the Vision. Any thought's??? |

LaPorte,Tx. | 0-60 mph is equal to a 2008 Corvette.
Top speed is ~120 mph.
Also, you can add power to the stock motor with some folks already close or above 110 hp. Now I'm hearing maybe a 111 cu. in. kit can be done.
How much do you want?
Oh, did I mention, it has been proven to be a great touring bike and it is made in the US! |

Memphis | I've ridden the M109 and if you have to have that kind of power, you will miss it with the Vision. The M109 is the hardest pulling bike I have ever been on. It is scary fast. Here's what you will gain with the Vision: Comfort: The M109 seat is a wooden slab compared to the Vision. The suspension is also punishing compared to the Vision, especially on roads that are not perfectly smooth. Once you use the power windshield, you will be spoiled for life. Handling: The fat tire on the M109 is great for going straight ahead but it really limits you on a twisty road. If you want to keep drag race bragging rights, keep the M109. If you want a bike that does an awful lot of things really well and you don't mind perfect strangers walking up to you and asking about your bike all the time, get a Vision. |

Richmond, Virginia | Just a reminder, speed isnt the main reason adults buy bikes. if my ass isnt happy, i dont care how fast i get there.
Speed is directly related to posted speeds, frequency of police cars, ability to take work time for court, and an excess of checkbook cash
to cover the fine. |

Buford, GA United States | One of the guys I ride with has a 109 and here is what I have noticed: In the mountains he rides in the back of the pack as the bike will not turn like my vision or the BMW LT's in the group. On the interstate he leads the way as the road is long and straight and he takes it to be his personal drag strip. And finally, we get to stop twice as often because his gas tank is nowhere near the size of our tanks. Last time I rode with him we got seperated about half way through the ride because of his need for gas and some miscommunication among the group. I have owned 2 Suzuki Intruders and at the time I thought that they were wonderful bikes but they don't compare to the Vision in style or handling. |

savannah ga | I owned a 07 109RLE my favorate power cruiser . The bike pulls like no other . The vision can bet most in its class but no 109r .The vision is the most well rounded bike i have ever owned it does a hole lot more then my 109r could ever think of . That said losing some pull and gaining a list of pluses out weighed it for me .Besides the engine mods are just starting to hit the market and may get the pull of a great power cruiser very soon . A cherry on top a great bike |

Madison, AL | I traded in my Blurple M109R for my Vision. The dealership gave me $8,400 for the M109R and sold in two days after I traded it in. I only paid $9,600 for the bike (it was a repo). I put that in my buddy's face quite often who happens to own two HDs (one he just can't sell to save his life). Man I wish I could afford two bikes. No regrets in trading in the 109 for every day driving, The Vision is a superior ride. I got my Vision up to 116hp and 116 ftlbs of torque but it still isn't the same as my old 109, but I am happier.
I can go through turns and twisters much faster on the Vision than I could the 109. There is a particular on ramp on my way to work that I could not get into over 30MPH on the 109 but take it comfortably at 45MPH on the Vision. Also, I'm not beat up after a long ride, the seating position on the Vision is much more comfy, I got tunes, etc. My riding buddies also have stated that I just look more comfortable and happy on the Vision. If I could I would still have a 109 in the garage for those short trips on beautiful days or that might just be a longing for some of the great times I had on that bike.
I tried to make my 109 a daily commuter with a windshield and bags but was never happy with the way the 109 looked with corporate clothes. It is a mean street bike and should dress its part. The Vision looks fine in corporate gray and still looks sporty.
I have put more miles on the Vision in 8 months than I did the 109 in almost three years and find excuses to go out for a ride. So from a cost to utilization ratio the Vision has been a much better deal for me. As for the fun factor well there are different things one does for fun, and with my recent cam install on the Vision I'm getting some of the old fun I had on the 109 back.
I would do it all over again, and as my economic situation improves I might get a second bike for small trips around town. However, I'm finding that I am starting to handle my Vision like it is a much smaller bike and the thoughts of having a second bike are fading.

To me the decision is very simple, but you need to decide what you want out of your bike. If power is it, then there are better choices then the 109. If your looking for everything else and good power then the Vision is the pick of the litter. Good luck! |

Pittsburgh, PA | aside for everything else that was talked about between the two. One thing that really stood out for me was how the M109 sounded with aftermarket pipes! It surely didnt have a Vtwin sound! Maybe thats just how a dual crank pin sounds from suzuki.? The vision has a nice Vtwin rumble. |
