does the unit only leak with bike running ?? i washed my bike (bad mistake) LOL anyway there was a oil spot under it after it was washed i'm thinking it may have come from soap and water but just wondering if it only leaks while running or if it would leak all the time thanks oh ya if its the unit r they under extended warranty

I had that same leak at 500 miles on my Vision. The leaking stopped once the bike warmed up. It will need to be replaced, and some dealers may be able to cross reference the more readily available GM part number to get you back on the road quick. (Mine couldn't, so I had to wait the 5 days for shipping through Canada)

yes, and depends. Mine has a very slow, slow, slow leak. It lets me know that there is a leak, but not bad enough to screw with it and make it worse. I've heard tell of some leaking bad and had them covered under warranty, I don't know under extended warranty, but that is engine related so I assume it is. The fix though is to pull it off, plumber tape or JBWeld and that should take care it for good.

Just kidding on the JB...

I had to replace mine at less then three weeks of ownership. It has not leaked since.

It was not leaking at the threads. It was defective and leaking through the unit.

To work on it just lay the bike on the tipovers and work.
