The Vision is without a doubt the easiest big tour to clean, bar none. (simply green and a hose)
I must be the laziest bike cleaner on the planet.
Wax is over rated.
Check your derby cover for peeling.
If you haven't heard the NEW left handlebar radio control has released.

and finally if you're reading this you need to ride more

What is different about the left handlebar control? I don't think I have any peeling, but curious, was it just an improvement in the finish, or did they actually change something about the control?

Did it fix the problem? sounds like a cable connection rather than a switch. or the ipod itself.

Club,

Worked on the ride home from the dealer. 50 miles or so. Only time will tell.

Ok, i give, what's a derby cover for peeling! The last time I knew it was a hat, but I never seen one peel.
I wonder, if I have to go in stating a problem with my OLD left handlebar control to get a new one.

Finally, I'm reading this and I would positively, absolutely, unequivocably, agree wholeheartedly with you, that I should be riding more. Best Advice, BAR NONE!

P.S. unfortunately, I am work, therefore I read "occassionally"!

ruttrow, did they install the NEW bar control for you or did they install the old model??

divesharc, both the cruise and radio bar mounted control had issues with cross bleeding from one switch to the next. Since they work on resistance they can have a number of issues but mine quit working all together shortly after acquiring my Vision. Victory was working with their supplier to come up with a NEW bar mounted control in which the cross bleeding was not an issue. Victory doesn't make these controls a subcontractor does. Since the only option available was to put on the same bad unit, I opt to wait for the new since it was in testing. It finally released to dealers last Thursday. Hence my question to ruttrow.
stumpy, thanks for the heads up on the cover having been an issue before. I'll see what they want to do when it goes in for the other stuff.

Teach, the fact that you even know what cleans the bike easiest shows that you are not the laziest bike cleaner on the planet; I am. I just let nature take care of washing it when it rains. The closest I come is when I occasionally wash the windshield and headlight because all the bug guts really start to get annoying. (Did I mention I live in a swamp...?)

Teach,

To be honest I don't know. When I brought it in for the recall I mentioned the problem I was having when using the iPod. My issue was lowering volume would change tracks. The work order said replaced left hand control.

I found using the Mr Clean Autodry system make keeping the bike clean very easy. Dries w/o spots. I just orded the Ness covers w/flames for both the clutch and brake reservoirs.

My dealer put in a warranty claim for the engine side covers which was accepted & new covers were sent. Had them installed for $0. Don't have radio pod problems.

Now, I have to know what the problem with the engine side covers was. I don't see anything wrong with mine that I know of. Oh, the problems.
