Yes but if you look at the blue and red 2009 Tour Premium wallpaper the wheels and forks are gray. How is that for sending mixed messages.

If you look closely at the photos you described, they have silver handlebars & silver passenger foot boards, so they are not 'Premiums', even though they are in the Premium gallery. Also note they have monochrome Polarius badges instead of the color one that is on the black model.

Here is another view of the black Premium model.

I spent $3500 to enhance my '08 and now I am glad i did. nothing '09 floats my boat except the Ness bike. (after having the trunk on and off this year I have to say, I want a trunk. Carries a lot of goods) I did a Ness Kingpin up royally and I can see that happening again. LOL. Looks like I get to use my '08 for a while. BUT... I am looking for the most trick 21" front wheel I can find... The idea of a new billet factory wheel that still needs to be chromed? odd. and the blue? gotta see that. I wonder if the paint will rub off in 2009.

Hopefully Victory has been listening to our input on this forum & feedback from the dealers. There's a lot of people on this site who have been riding for a long time (ie. spent a lot of cash on motorcycles), so it would bode well for the Victory engineers to fix the problems before the new production session starts. Economic times being what they are in the States, this is not the time to alienate the customer, or potential customer.

On a side note, I'd sure like to know why the new Vision Premium is listed in the States for $22,999, yet on the Canadian website, they list for $25,309 - a difference of $2610.

Worse yet, is the 10th Anniversary Edition, $32,334 vs $28,999 - a $3,335 difference!

Our dollar is basically at par with the American dollar, so someone is pocketing the difference. And the Canadian retailers wonder why the fed-up Canadian consumer heads south to buy products. We're fed up with being ripped off!!!

It's pretty interesting that in the custom paint selection, two options are listed for the Vision, but you cannot see the photo. I tried a few other models, and custom paint shows "no photo available". This is so typical of Victory. Let's list a $3,500 custom paint option that you cannot see.

The paint schemes are available for viewing in the 2009 parts catalog....now available online.

In doing some more studying of the 2009 line up it appears they list for $1,200 more than the 2008 models and the differences I see is that the 2009 comes with Billet wheels. They do not make it clear what all chrome pieces are included in the premium packages.

Looking at the 2009 catalog for accessories they have added some really nice options including:

  • New leather seat with driver backrest $899.99
  • Reverse option for only 09 models, $1,399.99
  • Solo touring bag, $229.99
  • Cup holder that requires 3 parts. Total $72.97
  • Polished controls – both left and right, $549.99
  • Chromed rear master cylinder cover, $29.99
  • Chromed rear engine strap cover, $44.99
  • Chrome heel toe shifter, $169.99
  • Chrome rear tip over protection covers, $229.99
  • Chrome mirror trim, $29.99
  • Chrome front fender accent, $49.99
  • Fairing rubber toe kick protector, $34.99
  • Chrome rear valence, $149.99
  • Chrome trunk lock button, $34.99

They don't show an option in the 2009 catalog for chromed lower forks and it is not clear if they are included in the tour premium models for 2009.
Also it is not clear if the Solid Midnight Cherry or Solid Blue Ice colors have any metal flake in them like the current Midnight Cherry.

I had earlier mentioned in another post that they had raised the price on some of the options but after further review they haven't. I was looking at the bundle pricing for the CB and XM radio that included other required accessories such as antenna, wiring harness etc.

I would expect they have made some other minor adjustments or improvements that have not been mentioned as of yet just like they have done on other models from year to year.

The do have metal flake in them. It is NOT easy to see on the blue. The blue looks absolutley HORRIBLE sitting on the floor. But in the sun it is a nice color. NOT the color I prefer (midnight Cherry is my way) but it may appeal to some. The fact is, Victory is a rebel in the big scheme of things and I think they are pushing the envelope to see what sells well and can pull HD riders as well as the GW/BMW people. However, that being said, I can't believe that a study would have shown this type of blue to sell. Just my thought as I agree...it looks GAY! Not calling anyone gay...just saying the baby blue marine is NOT a "tough" color. If it were a deep or dark blue, OK.

Lood don't forget, the large market of touring bikes gets covered with a large percentage where the wife has input to the bike and color. I would also think, most men don't take the survey, women however love to take surveys and put their opinion in. So, I think the color was a choice by the surveys. I have heard a few guys like it, but more women I have heard like it more. There are a couple of guys on here that got it. I'd probably like it but not take the survey.

Not a Vision owner....yet, but took my wife today and did a 50+ mile test ride. AWESOME! Unbelievable how this bike handles. I will post a more in depth review as a new topic but thought I would put in my 2 cents on the 09 blue. My first impression when looking at it online was that it was "feminine". However, seeing an actual photo of one on cycletrader.com, I thought that the silver/gray mixed with the blue made it look a little more manly than I previously thought. Then, my wife saw it and is willing to have me spend an extra $2500 just for that color (plus one for feminine). I would like to see one in person before making my final decision......but the $2000 rebate and the additional $500 discount is probably going to make me buy the SSG sitting on the showroom floor. If you want to see a really cool blue (cobalt) Vision, check out the $33K Arlen Ness bike on cycletrader.com.

I like the blue Vision, saw one at the AVR. I would be outstanding with all the chrome options. But I'm partial to the SSG, you know it is the fastest color. The reason is because it is Super and no other color has Super in it's name. So go for the fast color and enjoy yourself.

I ride a 2009 Vision Premium. The dealer had a 2008 right next to it on the floor. I paid the extra $1200 for the 2009 mainly because it does come with the the chrome billet wheels AND chrome fork. Also, it does come with a ton of chrome! Improved stereo and several other little improvements were a factor, but not as much as the chrome "extras". Price paid was what was stated on the Vision web site. $22,699. (Plus I received a VERY good price for my 2003 Road Glide with 85,000 miles on it)
