Hey Banjo, the last dealer visit I made, they recommended the Amsoil too so I made the switch. Where do you find yours? I've been looking at buying it online maybe but I'd like to find a chain that carries it. They sold me on the 20-50w. The mechanics said YES it's synthetic but it was designed for wetclutch applications.

Will, I have been a dealer for the past 18 years..some retailers will carry it..contact me off list I can get it for you a dealer cost. Contact me offlist................I might try 20-50...so far 10 40 has been working fine...I double the change interval to 5000 miles and just change the filter at 2500 miles per change

Just a quick question... don't you lose most of the oil once the filter is removed? Thanks

Only a few ounces plus what's in the filter is lost. I switched to full sythetic last go round. My tranny was only a little noisey (whine) for the first 1000 miles or so. The big thing I noticed is that it shifts smooth a silk now. A little pressure on the shifter and a half pull on the clutch and you don't even hear it shift. A couple of time thought I missed the shift. Very happy.

I changed mine 20w50 at 10,000 miles and it worked fine. I changed to 10w40 this time.

Have one of LLoyd's lifetime filters and it was still very clean at 10k and no residue on the magnet.
