I was wondering if any of you here on the forum have an 09 Vision, and if so, what type of problems are you having? What i am hoping to figure out is if Victory corrected any of the problems associated with the 08 model.
I must say that after my test ride the other day,I am for sure a Vision lover and will be making a purchase very soon.

Hi Kornbread,
What specific problems are you talking about with the 08 models? There is a small list of changes for 2009, but I don't think any of them were to correct problems on the 08s.

I had an "08" with really no problems.. (Did have the dimple in the bags and a little a little of on the bag alignment - but to me it was no big deal.

I traded in the "08" for the "09" (I wanted the reverse... Just in case I needed it) So far so good... The bike is fine!

How much of a beating did you take on the trade in?

I was talking about things like the clear coat, speaker upgrades, squeeky belts, oil line leekage, saddle bag dimples and alignment, and all the other lil problems I have seen people list here on this forum.
Having ridden Harleys for years and owning several new models, the list of various problems I have seen listed here are small in comparison.I feel like the Vision will be the leader in touring bikes for years to come. The ride and handling on the bike i rode were outstanding.

Same paint (2 09s I saw already showed scratches on the saddlebag lids from rubbing)
New speakers (they sound the same to me)
Belt alignment is belt alignment, doesn't matter what year
Same oil lines/sending unit (visual inspection only)
Dimples and alignment are hit and miss on the 09s as well from the three that I have seen
The new wheels on the premiums are AWESOME looking
The new chome forks could have been done better

Bottom line is, if you are looking for Victory to have corrected all the small issues with the 2008 models in 09, for the most part, they have not. If money is no object and you want the kickin' wheels go with the 09, if you want to save some money, find a 2008 on closeout.

Having just come off a nut roasting, pinging, overheating 2007 Ultra. The Vision is manna from heaven....

Well as for the speakers they sound better than the demo ...so I think they are upgraded...way better than the stock HD harmon system.....
