I haven't even figured out how to get them off yet. Messed around with it today and it looks like the side storage area has to come out first. I was thinking of doing mine black.

Anyone have any ideas?

From what I understand, they are plastic and plastic is expensive to chrome.

several companies do anodized powder coating now. For those who don't know what this is, think powder coating that looks real shiny like chrome. I've seen multiple colors including black, gold, red, and chrome but others exist. Just and idea and one I was considering come winter.

I checked in chroming the hand grabs and was told that because they are plastic you can't chrome them the way we think of chrome. They actually use vaporized aluminum similar to the reflector in a flashlight they shine real nice but they aren't very durable. I painted mine but that's not the answer either I still ding the right side gra
