Anyone know who makes the "Ultimate Solo Touring Bag" shown in the 09 Accessories Catalogue on Page 13?

http://www.polarisindustries.com/en-us/Victory/2009/Pages/e-catalog...

It fits nicely and I am sure it is much cheaper from the manufacturer than with Victory's markup.

Looked exactly the same - Found one on EBay for $115.00 and bought it. Man am I an Impulse Buyer or what? But it will be welcomed on the upcoming Arkansas / Lousianna Trip.

I have one, too. I bought a black pillow at K-Mart for about $5 and put in the front webbing. Makes a great backrest when riding solo.

OK - Got the bag and love it (Even has Insulated pockets for drinks). BUT - the straps they provided are way too much to attach to the Passenger Hand Grips. only about 2 inches to the grips and can't cinch the straps that tight.

How did ya'll mount the bag and tie it down? I suppose I could use Velcro strips, but the plastic latches are great if I could get them short enough to hold the bag on.

I hate it when I answer my own questions. I looked at the Victory Accessory Catalogue and saw how they mounted it in the picture. I will give that a try.

One thing to note about this bag. It is definitely NOT waterproof. It will leak significantly in heavy rain. On my trip to Sturgis I used this bag and it is wonderful, big and fits great but I had to wrap it in a garbage bag to keep the contents dry. The primary leakage is around the zippers.

It would be nice if they had a nylon cover.

I have a Kuryakyn Grand Tour bag and it is fantastic. Just hauled it around for over 5500mi. It offers great back support, stays rigid, comes with a retractable braided steel combonation lock (for the zippers) and a waterproof rain cover. The rain cover has a great elastic band that allows you to open the draw and slip it over easily yet it stays very snug and does not whip in the wind. The bag fits perfectly on the rear seat pad and does not hang over. All the straps that come with it have heavy duty D-ring clips, so it's very easy to attach and detach. The garbage bag works okay. I clipped my back pack to my luggage rack and threw a trash bad over it. Found that I had to double them up to keep them from taring with the wind buffeting back there. Anyway, just thought that I'd point out the obvious. Plus the Kuryakyn comes with a removable back rest that velcros in place. I found with the Vision that it was more useful as a spacer for my back pack shoulder straps I tightened over the passenger backrest (I have a Street Primo). As far as Saddleman goes, the saddle bags I had on my previous bike didn't hold up too well. They didn't fit to well either. I think these are made from a different material though. Oh, and I bought a 6 peice set of keyed-alike, Brinks luggage locks for my back pack at Walmart. The set was just over $10 if I remember correctly. If you go with the Saddleman bags, they'll probably work pretty well for that application.

I went down to the local hardware store and bought velcro straps for the bag. One set of 12in, 1 set of 18 in, and one set of 27in. I strap down all three D rings on each side to the hand grips. Solid as it ges. I looked for a nylon cover but couldn't find one today. So if anyone has a good lead on that please post.
