I am thinking about getting the VV travel cover. Does anybody have one and what do you think of it?

Thanks in advance.

I honestly haven't figured out why I would ever need one?
I've traveled all over North America since 1969 without one.
Where are you going to put it as you travel?
If it's wet, wherever you put it will get wet too.
If it's windy, it could wear on your paint.
Every time you put it on or take it off, that's 20 minutes of your life you'll never get back.

Been using one for the past 3 or 4 years when I travel and love it. Deters unwanted looks, easy to roll up and store away or put on, used during a severe storm and it stayed on great, nice having a dry bike in the morning. Only issue is rolling it up wet when getting back on the road early.

Yep.  I have drop foot and it catches on almost any imperfection in the floor.  My buddies used to say, "quit tripping over your Big Foot".  That's how I got my name.

Never used a cover and have traveled all over. Never saw the need. Bike gets wet, it gets wet. I don't have a car cover either! LOL LOL LOL

I have one and use it mostly when I ride to work. I don't like to leave my baby sit in the rain. and it looks cool too. it also keeps the sun from baking it when its 90+ degrees.

I have the victory travel cover and love it. Good construction, fit, ease of use and storage. It take about 45 seconds to put it on and 20 to remove it. Keeps the elements (moisture, rain, debris dust etc off the upper 2/3 of the bike.

I have a Vision travel cover but have only used it a few times as it takes up valuable cargo space on a road trip.
Now that we have the Bushtec trailer we may use it again as it is a small deterent to prying eyes, dirt and moisture.
The one we have is not waterproof but helps keep morning dew off the bike.

Thanks for the comments. One more question for those that use the travel cover: does it cause any paint damage?

Not that I noticed, but I'm not really fussy either. My machines are for riding, not for show.

For the most part, it is suspended over most of the painted parts, and is pretty soft. Sitting in the sun probably causes more paint damage (fading) than the cover could.

No paint damage. I recently used it while on vacation on the shore. Sand, dew, rain etc...no issues.

Storage: I found if I am tight on storage spade, I roll the cover width wise into a tube shape. This allows me to snake it around the edges and utilize any little space that is open.

I have one and used it for the main overnight cover for over a year. Very easy to install and remove and stays on during wind.
Does not protect the bottom 1/3 of the bike but does insure you have a dry seat in the early morning. never took it on a trip as space is at a premium when I travel.
Several months ago, someone on here was selling a like new full cover which I purchased for $85. This is one great cover, well built, still easy to install and remove and protects the entire bike. I think they list for $150 and it would still be worth it at that price.

Putting a full cover on your bike for the winter makes for a really good shelter for mice and chipmunks.
As a previous boat owner, I know that raccoons really liked it when I covered the boat during the off season.

I do not have a cover. Any bike should be just fine after a rain. If not, it is time to trade the bike for a properly designed one.
I carry a towel to dry my seat before I ride but the bike is on its own. As far as rain impact on a bike, are we supposed to leave them home in bad weather? That is total BS. A $22000 vehicle needs to be OK to use in the rain, period.

I put mine in a full cover at night at home only. I don't have a garage. Its a year round commuter too so the cover goes off and on it every day of the week except some Sundays. Its good if your bike is clean, it will help keep it clean, dry. The cover is not protect the bike from rain , it rains on my bike all the time when traveling and sitting at work, it just keeps it cleaner , longer, dry seat. Also, I live next to the road so I don't want everyone who drives by at all hours of the night to eye it. I don't take it when traveling either, as others have said , the Vision cargo capacity is already limited. I have never had a half cover
