Wednesday I rode 80 miles to St Paul, to do the Indian demo Had some fun. The Chieftan is a nice bike, I would not replace The 08 vision was thinking this might be a good second bike. didn't Care for the leather seat, but it may break in. The radio was nice the Indian Rep kept saying it was Bluetooth compatible. easy oil changes like the vision. I don't know about the Electronic throttle it was different than I was used to. also rode the Naked Chief had a better ride with that. In a nutshell these are a good quality bike. pete a

Sounds like fun. I'm sure everybody on here that's had 8-10 bikes of different brands can nit pick anything apart on any new bike, but I'm still liking the looks of the Chieftain. After I ride it I may say different. I know one thing from the side views there's no way any of them can be a comfortable as a Vision. It's not as long in the seating area. But neither are, RoadGlides, ElectraGlides or Goldwings.........

I Rode them also, was very impressed, fit and finish was awesome and the motor has nice power and sound, also seemed smoother then my Vision or Road Glide. Throttle by wire works better than Harley and nothing looks or feels like an american classic Indian going down the road. They hit the nail on the head, plus you dont have to worry about the front fender falling off

Can't wait till my next demo ride on an Indian. When I did it at Sturgis it was a group and I don't like to play with gadgets then. Need to take her out in the twisties and let her show me what she's made of. I road the Chieftain and was very pleased with it. I think The leather bags and windshield really make the Indian look sweet. Job well done.

Okay let the fender issue go. I am sure I am not the only one tired of seeing it in every post. Maybe mommy and daddy can take care of it for since you can't.

I agree about letting the fender thing go.
