Turns out...not too bad, actually. Once dial adjustment is up as far as I thought it should go, the sequence I used was to unplug first, remove boot, unclip, remove bulb. Reverse of these steps pretty much got it back in. Difficulty was replacing boot and plugging in wires. Trouble getting boot around bulb tabs. Hard to line up the slots on the plug with the bulb tabs, even with the horizontal tab at the top. The plug has a ridge on the bottom, so that made it easier to feel where the plug position should be. Probably will regret only replacing one bulb, even after buying two.

As an industrial electrician I've change thousands of lights in all sizes and shapes including 1000W HID's.
I've changed them in parking lots using 120' manlifts and in the plant using 40' extension ladders and 80' manlifts.

My special technique for changing my Vision's headlight bulbs is to start my bike, ride it to my dealership, go eat lunch next door, come back to my dealership and start my bike and then ride home.
