Well everyone knows that Hamburger should be cooked WELL DONE! no one wants E. coli on a new Vision!!!

But seriously I learned real quick to wear long pants and tall leather boots while riding mine. there have been quit a few posts about this, do a search for "heat" if you want some more reading.

I have a couple of pictures of mine on my Vision in the thread this link takes you to. http://www.vision-riders.com/bb/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=1363&posts=26&start=1 Go down about 1/4 of the page and you will see them. They work really great and with the new mounting tape that Victory is using they are rock solid on the bike. The highway pegs are a must have in my opinion also.

With this set up I have no problems with heat and we have hot heat here in Dallas, TX. The heat off the Vision is less than the HD Ultra and about the same or a little less than the GL1800 Gold Wing.

the air deflectors work great from what I understand, but are not the most aesthetically pleasing accessory you can add. Highway pegs also do well by moving your legs and feet further from the motor. My personal preference, but to each their own....

Just as a side note, i have ridden the vision Stock exhaust set up and the stage 1, level 2 set up. put about 500 miles on each bike. The stage 1, level 2 helps the heat move through better and is a little bit cooler on your leg.

Another option that helps a little bit is moving the stock wind deflectors out about an inch from closed, it creates some turbulence that disturbs the bubble created by the fairing.

In my mild climate, I find that adjusting the winglets flat against the body is enough to make engine heat tolerable. If the heat really bothers you, try moving your feet farther out from the engine, a set of highway pegs, or tuning the motor to run cooler by adding more fuel, and yanking the cats.

It is a 106 cubic inch V twin motor...your legs are gonna get warm. Wear long paints and tall boots and move your feet around those big fat floorboards Victory gave ya. Oh, and don't sit in traffic while it's above 90 degrees out. There must be 20 Threads on this subject.

I was out riding in near 100 degree temp yesterday in stop and  go traffic and didn't think about the heat off the pipes. I don't find it as bad as some let on it to be and I'm still running stock pipes. i have felt the heat but I guess I've gotten use to it and how to position my leg so not to get burned. I remember that I love to ride enough to put up with the fact that I'm straddling an internal combustion engine that emmits heat as part of its business process. My other choice is to ride in a nice air conditioned Cherokee, but I only like that when I'm eating up a back woods mountain trail.

during long red lights, hit the engine kill switch, then when you see the light for cross traffic turning red, light it back off and be ready to ride when you get the green. Helps save that gold priced gasoline too.
