| After being talked into going with the Harbor Freight version of a motorcycle lift WHICH WOULD NOT LIFT THE BIKE I got what I wanted in the first place... Handy B.O.B. 1500... wow, what a nice piece of machinery!
I added their new Wheel Chock since I'm by myself and couldn't see myself holding the bike and cranking on the wheel Vice, it works perfectly.
Just another case of "You get what you pay for"
BTW... I have a Brand New HF lift with the upgraded wheel chock for sale if anybody is interested.

Grand Cane, LA | I have the Harbor Freight lift that you have in the background and mine will lift my bike with ease. There must be something wrong with the cylinder on yours. I did do like you did and put a wheel chock on the front and got rid of the "vise". Been looking at finding an air cylinder to replace the stock one with and make it a little quicker rather than pumping. |

| When I bought the HF lift I made sure to top-off the cylinder with oil and then followed the directions on "Bleeding the system" several times with no luck. it lifts 600 lbs no problem (that's all I could find) but won't lift the Vision.
I have spent twenty minutes (twice) on the phone waiting to talk to their tech people with no luck. I may try to return the whole thing to the store. |

| put tie downs on the front end. Use the slot under the headlight. If you can talk your dealer out of the two eye bolts that come from the factory there nice. Once you tie the front sown it can't tip over on you unless you work at it.
Never Never ride your bike on the lift you;ll find putting your foot down don't work.
With my Handy over the years I have made enough off other to pay for it. You have spent your money the wise way and that lift will never go down in value.
Now you need a jack and your set for life |

| Johnnyvision... I tried to push the bike up the ramp several times with no luck. I guess it's good that my legs are longer than my left shoulder is strong. Ancient night skiing accident left me with a bum shoulder that makes me feel like a total weakling at times. I am real careful riding it onto the lift and that is the main reason I went with the chock instead of the vise. The chock does a real good job of keeping the bike upright all by itself.
As far as the tie-down points, hmmm... I'm not sure which slot you are talking about under the headlight. The factory tie-downs at the front tip-overs have my J.B.Hatch pegs mounted to them.
Lstayner... Handy was picked-up by the company that use to do a lot of laser cutting for them. Here is a very interesting video regarding the bail-out (sorry to use that term, these days it has such a negative vibe)

BTW... I did pick-up their "Low-Boy Jack" and it is a brute. That son of a gun is really built! Now, if I can just get that Skid Plate that I ordered from Jon over at WD's I'll be able to use the jack.

Have you ever tried?
When I got the bike I ran out and bought a floor type motorcycle jack... uh ... I'm sure that Victory didn't intentionally design a "Teeter-Totter" but that's what you get when trying to jack it like a normal bike. The best results I got was by placing a piece of Floral Foam at the recess and letting the bike crush it down to a perfect match of the finned pan.
I figured there was no way I was ever going to be comfortable with the bike lifted in this manner so I guess that's how I arrived here. |

I went up to the factory and picked one up last year. They are back in business and have been trying to fill backorders that were evidently more than a year past due.
Best lift on the market in my opinion, and made in Iowa too, just like your Victory! |
