I just got this metra antenna after reading about effectiveness . I know it's supposed to be installed behind the front panel about the right blinker but looking for more direct advice about how to mount it. Any advice is appreciated . I looked in the tech section but didn't see anything about this specific antenna .

I will be happy to post install pics if requested

Put it wear you want. Use some tape to hold it in place and go for a ride and see how radio works. Move it around till you get what you want

is this a simple installation? Does the vision radio have a regular input for the antenna like any other radio does? Also I see a + and - wire. Do they go directly to the battery or do you splice them into a certain location? Thanks!

The normal antenna for a Vision is attached via a connector right behind the front fairing plate, the one right above the turn signals. See the owners manual instructions for getting to the fuses. It has you remove that plate. Warning, the wires between the bike and the antenna are very short, which the owners manual fails to mention. I pulled my antenna lead out of the connector when trying to access the fuses. My antenna lead is no longer as short as it was because I spliced in about a foot of 18 gauge wire.
