My work is sending some teams to Moore to do relief work in the weeks to come. I believe they are going to provide transportation but I may opt to ride my Vision. I don?t know if I will have even a spare second but if I did , I thought it would be cool to meet some local riders along my route even if it is just meeting up on my way home for supper or guide me through a brief portion of your local area that you are proud of. Let me know if this is something you would be interested in. I will probably be there the first week in June for relief work. I will be leaving from Sand Rock, AL and traveling I-40 so members local to this section of I-40 between Olive Branch,MS and Oklahoma City interested, let me know, reply to this thread or pm me . I noticed a member from Hot Springs and several pretty local to Oklahoma City. Again, it may be a very tight and hectic schedule.

jimtom, I know where your heart is, Moore. If it was me I would ride, I wouldn't worry about the in-betweens. I wish my work would send me there too to help bring a little life and light back into their lives. We'll be praying.

Thank you for your prayers. Again , there may be no time for such a thing except possibly on my way home. Just a wait and see. I may get there and stay an extended time in other places, who knows . there are places affected that aren't being publicized.

Maybe I didn't make my intentions clear. I'm not talking about riding my bike around ground zero. where I would pick up a nail. I'm not sure what you mean by they hurt enough. Are ou saying I would hurt tornado victims by riding my bike??? I plan on helping. If I ride, I will ride to an outpost lodging facility (we may stay 50 miles out , i have no idea as of yet) where the rest of our team will be. We will all ride designated bus or van into the areas we will work. Bus's and particularly our church van makes me motion sick, so it is one driving force behind this option to ride. I will be as busy as they will let me be. I am mostly thinking about when we depart , just meeting a fellow vision rider or two and follow them to their favorite restaurant for a meal and some fellowship before heading home. Riding a bus 50 miles is more tolerable than 800.

I just got out of a planning meeting and I was made team leader so I got saddled with the company credit card which means I have to buy everyones food and buy gas for the van so I will have to ride in the van. Thanks to all who did extend an invitation to me. I appreciate your generosity.

Boo hiss. Ride along next to van. Much rather ride.just cause you have to buy it doesn't mean you have to ride in it. Ride man ride!!?!!! Glad y'all are going to help be safe and don't forget to lend a ear, its just as important.
