To save a bunch of cash buy the color matched spray paint for 16 bucks, paint the chipped area and get out there and ride!

Don, that's just crap. This is a travesty!! And it's not about Victory, it's about the dealer. When I buy a car, I expect the dealer to take care of me. I don't call the factory waiting for help. Same with a bike. I am the dealer's customer, not the factory's customer. The dealer is the factory's customer!! Therefore it's the dealer I look to for solutions. IMHO, your dealer, who made a really nice freaking profit from selling you the bike, should have happily taken the panel off the other black bike in the dealership and exchanged it with yours. NO QUESTIONS ASKED. The customer loyalty he would have received would have been great. I hope you let him know that you will never buy another thing from him and you will let all your friends know to go somewhere else. Really, what does a new panel cost him, a lousy $50 bucks at most? $50 for a happy customer vs. someone that will never give you another dime and zero goodwill?

Again, it's your dealer that isn't taking care of business. He should take care of his customer and deal with the factory on his own. Again, if you had purchased your bike directly from the factory then they would be the ones to see. But you bought it from a dealer that made a nice freaking profit~!!!

if you get this far and read this maybe who knows.
If you go to a Vic gathering where there is guys from the home office pull your panel and show them.
Don't bother with the demo driver cause he just drives the semi. Sturgis or the plant open hose would be the place to find someone. Or get up early on a Sunday ride to Wyoming Minnesota spend the nigh and Monday when they open there doors talk to a guy there.
Be nice cause you know you get more with sugar hot heads get nothing.

Hell, I'm still pissed about the engine that was screwed up after 1800 miles and even more pissed when it screwed up again after 8000 miles.

I see your already over it but unfortunately your likely to be further disappointed with Victory "warranty" in the future.

Front fender busted off - known issue that happens to alot of people, stress cracks in the mounting area - not covered.

.....seat heater stopped working after at about 2 year mark - not covered.

.....seam in the seat seperated at 18mnths mark - not covered.

.....rubber mounting flange for the throttle body all cracked, leaking air (approx 2 year mark)....erratic idle.......not covered.

This week I had a passenger get off the bike and they still had the grab rail in their hand - busted clear off - surprise, surprise - NOT covered. $120 for the part and I had 4 hours in swapping it out.

I absolutely LOVE the bike.....but Im growing to hate the company that built it.

Honestly.....in the 3 years Ive owned the bike Ive only had *1* repair covered under warranty. The fuel door broke - they covered it. Looking back Im REALLY surprised.

I see you're already over it but unfortunately people want to keep you angry, and keep throwing fuel on an amber that is smoldering toward peace. Some people have negative experiences that they never got peace about and thrive on reliving there experience through others. Misery loves company. I think it's absurd to suggest you take your paint chip issue to the American Victory Rally, A time of fun, fellowship , celebration of the brand and the riders that own them and they want you to walk up to someone from the plant, panel in hand, angry. If the issue is to be handled, it should be at the dealer level. Do yourself a favor and let it go, oh wait you already have.
