Don,
Skagit Powersports almost denies being affiliated with VICTORY motorcycles, if you're not looking for a quad they almost won't talk to you and it's a damned long ride to Lynnwood to the dealer where I bought it.

RECALL ? Mine is an '08 owned since new - and never got a 'recall' for that .... anyone else hear about that?

It may have been a service bulletin rather than a "recall", but yes, there is something. My dealer called me about a month after I bought my bike (an '08--new) and said to come in whenever it was convenient. I did and they put a rubber wedge under the switch. It took about 15 minutes for them to do. I've not had any problems with mine so far. It would be worth asking your dealer about. If yours was never done, then it might be a warranty item. They can run your VIN and determine if the update was ever done.

NHTSA case # 08V131000 dated 03/14/2008.

Recently I has this problem, and my bike already had the upgrade/recall/service bulletin done several years ago. They ordered the SB parts again and did the same thing to it again and I have the 5 year extended warranty. It did make some improvement so I figured I've try my best to totally wear out this switch before 5 years is up so they have no choice but to put a new one in it! P.S. I also get free towing from the VRA membership so it'll just be a p.i.t.a when it does go out but shouldn't cost anything.

GREAT! Thanks John. There was a recall - and I am sure I didn't hear about it. I will have a 'little talk' with my boys ....

FYI - talked to the Service Manager at my dealer today - they ordered a complete lock-set so I will only need one key - new ignition, and locks for bags and trunk. All under extended warranty. AND they are coming to my house (an hours drive from the dealership) to pick up the bike - no charge! Gotta luv my guys !
