North Andover, MA | Hello everyone this is my first post.
It has been my dream for owning a victory vision for 4 years now. I am hours away from pulling the trigger on an Imperial Blue with Super Steal Gray. I know all the accessories i want except for the exhaust.
Does anyone know if the stage 1 level 1 exhaust overpower the stereo?

Central Wisconsin | Welcome to the forum....I had S1 L1 and the stereo could be heard fine. I ended up putting the stock exhaust back on because my wife wanted a quieter all day ride. However I did drill a couple holes in the stock exhaust when my wife wasn't looking ... lol!

| S1's are pretty quiet if I was to do it again it would be S2's
there are louder ones out there look on youtube sound is miss leading but you get a idea |

| Dont spend the money on the exhuast. Get lloydz cams and drill the exhuast it will give you every thing git -go and tone. |

You don't need to change the exhaust for power gains--the stocker flows plenty good enough. It won't hold you back. I would put that money towards Lloydz cams and fuel controller. Much better use of available funds.

| Depends on what you are looking for ...the S1L1 from Victory is great and loud enough for me...Witchdoctors also has some great sounding pipes as do many others....If your want a really deep/mello sound, I heard a Vision at the AVR that had stock pipes with the center hole cut out of the Gatlin tips Victory sells for about $300..Victory does not offer the Stage 2 mufflers anymore to my knowledge.....If you want power add Lloydz cams, etc. but much more money....Ness big honkers are okay also...but for my money I like the dealer installed S1L1 kit...filter, re-flash, etc..... |

Des Moines | Love my Stage 1s. The stock was just too quiet and the S1s give it just that perfect rumble without being too loud. |

RonnieI just did this w/ stock exhaust. Cams and fuel controller and top air filter installed by Kyle and Co. from KMC. Numbers below with stock exhaust.

Jasper, MO | I've got a similar setup as Okie Vision. Cams, VFCIII, stock front filter, Lloydz top filter, stock exhaust. I have never had it on a dyno, but it outruns GL1800 Goldwings. Not by a lot--but it will show them the Vision's taillights.
Change the pipes, or modify your stock ones, if you want more rumble. No need to if you want more power. If you think you'll get more power from just a pipe change, you will be disappointed. The power gains come from getting more air and fuel in, and better engine air-flow management (cams). The stock exhaust will produce 135 rear wheel horsepower on 116 inch builds, so a 105-115 horsepower stock block motor certainly won't be restricted by it.

Flowery Branch Ga | Save your money. If only looking for more noise from the pipes check Atom Bombs, Nascar 6, and Witchdotor. There is also the Thrush mod found on this forum. |

| I have a set of S1's from my '11 Vision that I took off for some bigger noise makers. The S1 was an improvement over stock. Other than the sound I can't tell the difference in performance between them and my Nascar6 pipes...which make a lot more noise. I haven't bothered to take a pic or put them up for sale yet (been busy) but PM if interested. |

| I did the Thrush mod, search this form for thrush mod and you will find lots of info. probably cost me about $200 in total for parts available from my local O'reillys auto store and 4 hours labor. nice deep sound. with the $ left over you can do lloydz cams etc. |

Troy, NY | When I got my Vision, one of the upgrades I did was the S1L1 exhaust. So I can't compare it to the stock. Overall I'm very, very happy with the setup. It has enough rubble without being loud. If you want a comparison of the Dyno Chart above.....mine pulled 113.17HP and 108.63 Torque. This is an approx comparison since I have the ECU installed too. If I had to do it all over again, I would get the Llyodz upgrades talked about first! |

Rossville, IL | Just beware, going with any of the other mufflers except the stock ones will produce various levels of popping depending on your setup and style of riding. I've tried several different combinations with my mods and ended up putting the stockers back on and couldn't be happier with the power and how smooth the bike is now. Plus it's fun being a sleeper now and they don't know what just bit them at the light.... |

I've seen the YouTube vids but it's tough to compare as they're all in different settings (outside, inside, drive bys, etc). I was looking more for "I had S1L2 then went with the Witchdoctor non baffled pipes. The WD pipes are louder and deeper (or quieter, or more tinny, etc).". |

Tucson, AZ | I had the L2's installed on mine. I like the sound, cannot verify any power increase. The only negative is the poping, which I hate! +1 on the Lloydz upgrades. Worth every penny! |

| I just did a stage 1 on my '12 Vision. But I also put on Kicker speakers and going add powerpuk amps to the front speakers. I did this because I wanted some rumble but not loud!! The throttle response is greatly improved. And when I took off the trunk the bike became a little quieter too. Enjoy!! |

Land O Lakes, FL | I have S1 and drilled stock exhaust. I used a hole saw and extension to basically knock the baffle out of the middle. i also have the six shooter tips so I drilled the end caps with 6 1/2" holes as well and I love the sound and keeps the stock look. S1 tune really did open the bike up a bit and I'm very glad I did it! |
