I have seen a few pictures of visions with the trunk removed and was told there is a kit purchased separate that will allow you to remove the tour trunk and make the bike a bit sleeker for daily communiting. I was also told there is a passangers back rest that will fit on if trunk removed. But I can not find anything about purchasing it. My dealer has not been much help either. thanks for any help.

I know a guy selling the plate and backrest. BTW easy to take the trunk off. 10 minutes max. Leave 1 bolt in. Unplug light kit, take out last bolt. If worried have someone hold the trunk steady. Storing he trunk is only problem. Thing is huge.

Welcome to the site.
There is a thing called a close out panel that will make it a smooth body panel that blends right in. It can be ordered directly from Victory. There is also a very sleek looking miniature storage made by Mustang, the custom seat people, that is impressive and molds right in. It has a built in backrest.

The plate is called a "Street Panel" and comes in every color you'd like as long as you like BLACK. I have one on my new Vision & my dealership ordered it when I purchased my bike. Here's the part number for this panel... FENDER-REAR,UPR,PLT,BLK 5436111-266 You can order one from Colorado Powersports for cheaper than what your typical dealer will charge.

As for the passenger backrest, MaVic is selling these again and is listed in the 2013 Accessories Catalog... Vic part #5875759 & is listed at $549.99. You can also find these through Witchdoctors for a little cheaper, but I believe saw something stating that they are on back order right now.

also do a search on the 'smuggler trunk' by corbin - saw one in person and it looks very sleek on our bike.

MSRP on the Street panels is now $170. Some dealers will give you a little discount but best of luck getting it for the old $100 price. They come in just about every Vision color. There's a new part number but I don't remember what it is. Here's the bad news. It's on back order. Knowing Victory, it could be a while before you get it. I'd look for one used. Sometimes, you can get a screaming deal if you're willing to repaint it. I just bought one (should be here next week) in black (my bike is Bronze Mist) for $100 shipped...brand new. Either I'll like the contrasting color or I'll get it repainted some day. Either way, I'll go trunkless next weekend.

The Smuggler Trunk looks nice but you have to use the Corbin seat. I think they're too hard. The backrest looks to be at an odd angle and doesn't look adjustable. Thanks but I'll stick with the stock seat (or a Ness/8 Ball, if I can find one) and my Utopia backrest.

Guess you didn't read get a "replacement" part. Early vision were sold with out a trunk called street vision. There were only a few colors to choise from.

$100 is "screwed"? I probably called 20 dealers. None of them had one in stock and none were $150. All were backordered. The link you posted shows an error, too.
