Every year someone says the vision is done for but yet they keep. making them. Then every year someone says the vision is getting redesigned but yet no major changes... people love to start rumors....

I saw a Vision 40 seconds in on the The Bold New Look video. It was leading a pack of three bike, as it should! The Vision is here to stay!

I have said it before, I don't believe they will kill the Vision. Maybe a updated model.

Reason being, HD has 2 touring bikes. The Road King and the Glide. Why? 1 bike does't fit every bodies eye.

Vic is not stupid and will use the same philosophy.

Just my two cents and I don't know any more than anyone else. I think the Vision will be around for a long time as their touring bike. As for major changes, I doubt if any are going to be coming soon. I mean look at the Gold Wing. Except for some fairly minor cosmetic changes, it's the same bike for the last thirteen years. Of course they're marketing is more targeted to the Chinese and India markets where they can sells hundreds of thousands of less costly bikes.

Dunno. A couple of models were discontinued this year. ANd there was NO Arlen Ness Vision that I saw. COuld be good, could be bad, or just could be...period! LOL

I do know that Sunday on my way home I saw a small "classic" car show (maybe 75 cars). I rode in for a look-see and stopped in front of a 1970 Chevy Nova SS. Cherry Red. Hot car.

Within seconds, as I was looking over the Chevy a crowd of about 30 people gathered around my Vision 8 Ball. More people were admiring my bike than any car in the show. It was cool to see and hilarious that my bike was the hot attraction at a Car Show!

They are showing what sells the most and you the XC is selling like hot cakes.
Victory is cutting back on models cause of the dam Indian no don't care for them.
Doughty the Vision will go a way but then with the XC there could be a big change

From a manufacturing stand point Victory has not recouped the costs from the Vision on any part, including the "little storage" bags. They will continue to run as is until they have covered the cost of all the components on the Vision. Polaris is very a very smart company about cost........ Christmas 2012 Grey Rider, lookin forward to a hard ride with you and yours......

Not long ago I was reading an online article from a Vtwin magazine interviewing Arlen Ness. He was very open about his involvement w/ Victory. He also said he really enjoys the freedom he's given in designing his schemes and said said he was currently working on his new design for the 2014 Vision. I'm surprised no one else has seen this interview and NO, I can't remember exactly where I found it cause it was one of those boring evenings where I was searching and clicking links etc when I stumbled on it but surely you google savvy ones can find it! At least the 2014 was confirmed via Arlen's role in modifying it.

There is a 2013 Ness Vision.
The problem is it is the 2012 Vision but with Red as the base color instead of the Orange.
First time the Arlen Ness Vision was not a complete makeover

Kind of takes some of the rumor fun out of it...

=====================
B: Regarding the evolution of design and styling; is this generally a long, planned out process or do you get hit with a bolt of inspiration?
A: It takes time, but I?m working way ahead of production schedules. The 2013 Ness Victory is already done and I?m working on the 2014 design now. This gives me quite a bit of time and works out really well.

Thanks Trek. I thought the color was a bit different, yet the paint scheme with the flames seems identical. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

I think it's really sad that Arlen put his name on what is essentially the same freaking bike. Putting the 2012 and 2013 pics side by side the color seems to be the only difference. It's shameful that Arlen and Victory both are putting out this shallow version of a supposed custom production bike. I think it will only hurt the Vision.

Why does it have to change before it means something? I wish they still made the '69 Shelby, and not change one thing about it, or the CJ5 Jeep.
