I am amazed at how well the Vision keeps you dry in light to moderate rain!!! I noticed that if I keep it at 65mph and above, windshield up, deflectors out, it creates a dry pocket. Everything goes over or around you. Dropping below 65 and the pocket begins to collapse. I have been in several light to moderate rains and in 7 weeks I have yet to put on my raingear. I'm probably preaching to the choir.

Living in the desert I haven't ridden in anything more than just a sprinkle since I got my vision in October, but I noticed the same thing.

I need to validate that "pocket of dry air" again. Last time I rode in the rain; I got just as wet on my Vision as any other motorcycle. Can't remember if I was doing 65mph+ though...

Jim, I have the same effect, depends on how hard it is raining, but I've been in some steady rain and only had a mist on me, if that.

the only reference point I have is my 99 V92C with a Hoppe radio fairing and soft lowers on the crash bar. Under similar conditions, I got considerably wet on it as compared to the Vision where I am relativley dry. Again , I have not had the experience of riding the Vision in a heavy downpour yet.

I been plenty wet on the Vision. It does hold up to hail better than the steel fenderd bikes though.

I have ridden in many rain storms on the Vision. It does keep me quite dry as long as I am moving at a good speed. I have noticed that I stay considerably drier on state/county roads vs the interstate. The turbulance from trucks causes the mist from car/truck tires to soak me quicker. If it is raining at 5pm, I ride the county roads home from work and stay much drier than taking the interstate.

I stay perfectly dry, except my left leg from midcalf down. For some reason I get a deluge from around the radiator.

Been caught it a really down pour the kind cages are hiding under bridges. Put wind shield all the way up 17" and ball cap and rode. Yes lower legs were wet but face and jacket were just moist. More from cars then the sky above.
My road glide I would be sopped and same with electra glide.

Live in the northwest. If i want to ride at all...the only water I get (unless I'm caught at a light) is whatever runs up the windshield and drips on my nose and the backs of my gloves.

Ditto.  Last summer I got caught down in Washington St. without rain gear and had to ride 3 hours home with just leather jackets, gloves and jeans - laced shoes. Stopped at the border to wipe off my face - the rest of me was DRY including my shoelaces when we got home. Even leather gloves weren't wet. Best bike EVER in the rain.

Speaking on this subject I can tell you that this morning I stayed dry during a lite rain while riding. Then I parked, turned the key off, and got soaked while walking into the building. I mean it just opened up something fierce.

Well, technically an oil cooler is a radiator, popular nomenclatures not-withstanding.
