Subject: Brake fluid reserviour

After installing a new aftermarket brake fluid reserviour cover, I noticed it was seeping/leaking around the top edge seal near the right top corner. Tightened the cover and it still leaked just a little but enough to marr the finish on the reserviour and a slight blemish on the painted tank cover below.. Took the thing off twice, carefully re-mounted the plastic gasket on top and noticed that the rubber diaphragm had a lot of brake fluid on the top side..Is this normal for those that might know??? I have since re-mounted the thing again today and it seems to be okay....but I don't remember seeing the brake fluid on top of the rubber insert before.....The clutch side seems to be okay....Thanks
