I know the car was at fault in this crash by making a left turn in front of the bike, but come on biker - you don't go flying through an intersection at high speed just because ya have a green light!! I almost blame the biker as much as the car in this case!!

With only the video to go on, I would put most the blame on the bike driver. For that kind of impact that bike had to be hauling. I would suspect that when the car initiated it's turn that bike was nowhere to be seen. Some distance down the road and quite likely behind a car or two.
I see too much traffic to assume the bike was going with the flow, and cause that much damage.

Given the rate of speed of the bike I have a hard time saying the car was at fault. Don't know the speed through that intersection or how fast the bike was going, so I have hard time making that judgement. It reinforce that I ride offensively considering I had a woman pull out in front of me on a stretch of highway that is 55 mph limit, I was in a red Jeep Cherokee with headlights on in the day time and she DID NOT SEE ME. I watched her pull to stop sign and even look in my direction at least twice. I couldn't believe she pulled out and as I try to avoid T-boning her she ended up hitting me in the rear. Everyone can go on believing that the car is at fault and die from it, or we who have a lot less protection than a cage can learn to pay attention to your surroundings and live another day. There is no way with the amount of traffic and the flow of it would I have even considered riding that fast through there. We have streets like that and it is best to take it easy, especially when you have someone with you. Consider this, the driver would have been dead if that had been a car or truck traveling that speed through there. Typically, those speed limits are 45 or below, and usually 35 for the street like that around my area. Ok, enough preaching, it's bad this happened. Prayers for family and friends of our brother.

the moron on the bike had a death wish not only for himself but his passenger and anyone who got in his path. It's one thing to get a little crazy in a remote area- there is no excuse for this and it gives all of us a bad image.

The motorcycle was traveling so fast, it turned the car over on it's side and the bike was stuck in the car, for those who can't see the video.

That bike had to have been traveling between 75 and 100 mph. We had an accident similar to that in Dallas about a year ago and it was determined the bike was in excess of 100mph.

How about the condition of the road !!!!! Holy shit, and I thought the 5 freeway was bad. I believe that I seen (and ridden) motocross tracks with smoother surfaces.

I was unable to see the video or details, but any death or injury is very unfortunate.

Intersections are where most motorcycle accidents occur.

Rider magazine columnist Eric Trow recommended looking both ways before leaving a light changing from red to green. I see a lot of cars sailing through intersections after their light has turned red.

Ride safe folks.

Now that you pointed out my sarcasm, what's your point?

At the Carlisle Bike Fest yesterday, spoke to a MFC rep who said they have a more advance course now. It will put the rider through tighter manuevers and situations. I say that is great for the majority of folks. But fact will still remain, no matter how many safety courses you take, doing stupid things like this cat will get you killed. Ride safe folks, ride safe!!
