| I have had just about enough with my lower wind deflectors. For starters, no matter how tight I have them, they still move when turned in under heavy acceleration or when traveling at high speed.
Last night I was adjusting them getting the Vision ready for a week long trip, and I stripped one of the mounting screws. SOB! Luckily I found a helicoil kit locally and will be able to piece it back together for the departure tomorrow. That side defector has a habit of moving most, and I found out that the one I stripped was more or less already stripped and getting close to letting go.
If they give me a whole lot more trouble I am just going to spring for the Baker setup, sure not as pretty, but my experience with Baker in the past has been positive. |

New Bohemia, VA | sorry kelvin - I guess this is another reason I have not, nor ever will put this wingy looking things on my Vision. But if I did, it would bolted on to the faring, and they would be cyclops. Hope whatever you use works out for you.  |

Albuquerque NM | I had my right deflector moving like that too, I cut a small piece of shrink tubing and put it over the hinge part (I did have to slice it open so it could be put over the hinge). Then when I put it back together the rubber of the shrink tubing gave some resistance to motion. |

Thats a GREAT idea!
I tried electrical tape which worked on one side and not the other before I stripped it out. I am going to give that a shot.

Grand Cane, LA | I fixed mine by changing out the plastic shims that are under the screws of the top plate. I took one of those hospital plastic tubs they give you to put your stuff in when leaving and cut new shims out of it. The plastic is just a hair thicker than the stock ones and it tightens it up enough that they don't move unless you make them move. I've blasted down the freeway at over 100 mph and neither one of them has moved, but I can still make them move when I reach down and turn them. |

| The only way I would have lowers on my bike is if cyclops started including the mounting hardware. I hate the factory plastic ones and I will not spend 500.00 or more for lowers. |

Land O Lakes, FL | damn sounds like I may have to go baker. This bike throws of so much heat in the summer it's almost unbearable with your feet on the boards. Luckily I have highway pegs to get my legs away from the motor. Was hoping the factory wings were gonna work but I've heard so many complaints |

Bullhead City, AZ | Lost a srew in the uppers and cracked a lower, reclaced the screw and Will from cycleops fixed me up with new lowers. When I came home from work today 121, rode down the 1 over the 4th 53 and wet. Having lowers allows me to pack less clothes and still feel comfortable and I would not be without them. |

Perry Hall, MD | IMHO lowers are #1 option. They are great for helping to manage heat, cold, and rain. Have not had any issues described by others. It may help that as tempting as it may be to use my foot I always adjust by hand. Following a deer cracking one I have gone with the Cycleops replacements. |

Austin Texas Yaaaalll | I would not ride the Vision without the lowers. Here in Texas in the summer we see 100 degrees + all summer long. Best option I bought for the bike so far. |

, MO | I agree! I lost my left one and couldn't find a used one so I had to buy a whole new set. These I used a small bolt to make sure they don't come off! |
