New York State | Anyone have a Cigerette lighter on their Vision ?
I would like to put one on my dash under the stereo button .
The first unit I bought had a nice waterproof cap but was to deep for the location.
So if you have one the location you used and the type would be a big help |

New Bohemia, VA | I'm no longer a smoker, so I have no need of one. But on my CB750Custom with a Vetter fairing I had one, just a standard cigarette lighter from a car. It too was in the weather all the time and I never had issues with it. It had a fused line directly to the battery if I recall. A story to that is I rode with a guy who rode a Ventura(?) and his lighter wasn't working so we were crusing done I-95 doing around 80 passing cigerettes so I could light and pass it back, or just passing him the lighter. Maybe I should put that on the "bikers behaving badly" thread.

| i have one on mine i have a willies bare foot cup holder on the handle bars. i bought a 12 volt outlet cause it had a bracket on it then bought a cig lighter and bolted it to cup holder after painting it all black ran my wires in heat shrink and right down the inside of opening by dash with 15 amp fuse all wired into the battery. have been in several rain storms and no problems so far |

New Mexico | My powerlet in the 'glove box' came loose and I stripped it trying to get reinstalled. Tomorrow I am going to install a full sized lighter outlet. Believe will just have to drill out the hole bigger, and redo the connection wires. Has anyone done this? Any suggestions/pics?
