| I finally finished the arc amp install.
This ended up being s bigger job than I originally thought. I installed the amp in the truck per the pictures below. This job required the trunk to be completely dissembled. I routed the wires through the powerlet whole in between the trunk shell and tub. Wanting to keep the powerlet I relocated it to the finger whole in the trunk stem panel, its viable from the pictures below.
I chose this location for the amp because it took up as little space as possible and still allows two full face helmets to be placed in the trunk.
Wall wire terminations and tie in are now soldered, in stalled wire harness on all the wires to allow the trunk to be removed, in addition i used wire harnesses that would allow the front speakers to be powered by the vision radio with the trunk removed.
The Arc amp replaced my Rockford Fosgate amp and completely wipes its ass with the RF amp. The Rockford Amp was a night and day difference over the Alpine, the Arc is a night and day difference over the RF amp.
I wanted to keep the trunk organizer so I mounted it on the front wall with velcrow.

I can only imagine the sound. Very nice.
Approaching our first year of Vision ownership, the radio has always been an afterthought on our rides. We're modular helmet wearers with Scala comm sets so conversation usually dominates our rides...........BUT, recently I've gotten her to quit talking long enough to listen to some tunes while riding.
I have to admit, a quality system would sure add to the pleasure of this bike. Can't hardly stand the stock stuff but it works ok as long as we're going slow enough.
Great job and thanks for taking the time to do this. Should I decide to, you already went through the trial and error process and made my amp decision easier. Appreciate it!! Hope it works well closed up in that trunk. |
