As a former kawasaki 900 owner let me tell you that this 2009 victory vision is fantastic. Everyone said because of its weight it would be a handfell but nothing could be farther than the truth. Soon as you start rolling you can put you feet up and the bike is raock solid. The only thing is learning how to get on and off with the tour pack any suggestions? Much differant thana bike with just a backrest.

I step onto the left rear passenger floorboard then walk my foot over the seat and onto the right front floorboard.
As shown in this video...

and Welcome to the club!!!
Fill out your profile so we all know where you're from, put your bike year and model in your signature (so you don't have to type it every time), and everone will have an easier time helping with questions.
Arizona Victory did a great job with those 5 youtube videos, I highly recommend watching all 5.

That dude makes it look like a toy. Sheesh. Not for nothing, but I don't think I'm gonna pick up a vision as easy as that. Love the tipover bars, but MAN he's gotta be a big guy to just lift it back up like that!!!

RE: Original Question: I've got chips ALL over the grab handles from my boots knocking into them. I saw a forum member selling grab handle wraps and I intend to buy some towards the end of summer so that'll solve that problem. Also, it's low enough, you can mount from the right side, put your left leg over and just slide onto the seat. I do that after filling up with gas every time so I don't have to walk ALL the way around! lol!!!

Do not pick up your Vision like the guy in the Video it will cause the Plate that holds the passenger grabs to crack and Ma Vic will not cover it under warrenty.

Get off the bike exactly opposite of how you mounted. I had to train myself that to stop
scuffing areas. I still catch the seat with my heel when dismounting without enough effort.

The guy on the Video is a big guy....I dumped my 2011 Tour and it took two of us to get it back up...One of the guys is 6' 250lbs.. Thankfully he was able to help..BTW the best way to lift it up is not the way shown on this video. Watch the Victory factory video and it shows the best way with your back towards the bike and lifting with your knees....I am 72 yrs old, 5'9" and about 195lbs and cannot lift it up alone..I know others can just be careful...The best way to lift it is to not dump/drop in the first place!!!!!!

The guy in the video is Victory Dealer Mike Schultz who also penned Vision-Riders.com first article in 2007. It caused a bit of controversy with Victory. Still a great read!

JJ - thanks for the post. I had not read that before. Some of his comments are naturally over the top with his excitement - but I don't disagree with them

Welcome,,, you are going to enjoy it here,,, and you are going to love that ride, each and every time you go out on it
I got mine last Sept and am just thrilled with it. Each time I go for a ride I am more impressed with it.
With our mild winter i have been out every month so far,,, and real comfortable as well.
