Anyone besides me find the stock Vision seat uncomfortable? The bike itself handles like a dream, but the seat is the worst. After 125 miles or so, I'm done...have to get off. Anyone replaced their seat with a after-market one?
I also feel cramped and I'm only 5'9" tall. I have highway pegs so I can stretch out...I think that has something to do with the seat also.

I think the 8ball has a different seat than the Vision Tour. It has 1" less padding and is not heated. Am I correct?

Redd one of the members here, HMD 520 and Cee Bailey both offer recover, memory foam, recontour seat services. Both will custom reconfigure the seat based on info about your demensions and pictures of you on the bike as you ride it to give them the best chance of designing the dream seat for you. I believe both even will install heaters for an additional charge and the prices I saw on Cee Baileys' site were equal to if not better than buying a stock seat used. The added benefit with these vendors the seat you get was actually designed for you and not a generic factory seat. Also, Cee bailey states that if the seat is not exactly what you want after you get it you can send it back and they'll tweak it for you free of charge. Try that from whomever you buy a stock seat from, and you get a choice of cover material. Just another option to consider.

My stock 2011 seat goes to Russell (Day-Long.com) on March 27 to get a re-do. The stock seat is ok for me, but not for the wife. Victory changed the pillion design from 2008 and it pushes her into my back. I am going to take the time to get it recovered in leather vs the vinyl and retain the stock heat.

The 8 balls seat is totally different than a tour. It is cut down 1" and it has a stiffer foam inside. It will feel a little uncomfortable to some ... depending on your weight. The angle of the sitting postion is a little different as well.

We offer a drop seat that uses memory foam.. it moves with you and allows you go up in the comfort zone. I ususally drop a stock ( tour ) seat 1-2".. My seat is 3"... and the whole back seat has been rebuilt and replaced with memory foam. If you would like to talk about mods to your seat...just give me a call.

Replaced the one on my '08 within a couple of months of getting the bike for a custom'fits my butt' in leather and better foam and BIG gel pad. The stocker gave me horrible cramps in my hips aand I couldn't tolerate more than a couple hours before I'd HAVE to get off, also I wasn't deeply impressed with the 'early Toyota' quality of the stock vinyl. It was pricey, but worth the investment.

09 Tour with ZERO problems on stock seat.  I find it great for L O N G rides.  I've done 825 miles in a day and felt fine!

Stock seat best I have ever ridden (30+years), although going to get the wife to reupholster in leather. 660 miles in one day - two up - with no complaints.

I am also 5'9" and converted my stock Tour seat to the 8-ball seat which I love...I have ridden for several hours and miles with no issues and wonder why you do not like seat...Stock Vision Tour seat is higher and has more padding, plus it is heated which I do not need anyhow...I really prefer the lower 8-ball seat, but to each his own...The guy from Arizona might be a good source for you...I have talked with him and he seems to know his stuff. I was going to send him my stock seat, but went with the 8-ball seat and currently have no problems or issues...

I'm gonna thank everyone for their input on my thread. I've given it some thought and come to this conclusion. I've been so happy with the custome seat I had made at Corbin for my King Vegas, that I'm gonna ride down to Hollister and check out what they have for the Vision. I know they make a dual tour for the Vision, so I'm gonna check that one out vs. having one custom done for me...which is the more likely scenario.
