| Does anyone know why these pipes were discontinued. I wanted to use them on my stage one upgrade. I've heard so many conflicting info about these pipes.Bottom line are these good pipes or should I go with Level 1 pipes. I want to stick with Vic pipes right now and these are my only 2 options.I liked the level 2 because they were a one piece Chrome pipe without covers.I'm going to use a Power Commander V and Ness twin intake kit. with the Vic pipes ..Do ya'all think thats a good combo. I don't want the pipes too loud.

Gainesville Fl Home of the Gators | They were diso because they did not sell well. Get the D&D if you want a 1 piece design. Power wise will be closer to 88-92HP at the tire |

| Never run a muffler or any exhaust with out cover or heat shields.
Why you ask cause they will turn a ugly yellow or blue. I Guarantee you this. |

Bay of Gigs, WA | My S1L2 pipes work well for me. They could be a bit louder, actually, but then maybe that's just 'cause all my Road King riding buddies can't hear me.
It's certainly true that I can't hear myself when riding around them...

| I like my s1l2 pipes. Mine got a bit louder at about 12k miles. If Rinehart comes out with Vision pipes I might change though. |

New Orleans, La, | I find the S1L2's give the best noise to prformance bang especially with a top breather and a fuel controller. If you really need more noise the baffle is removable via a tamper resistant torx screw and then you can cut it for effect. They don't have a seperate sheild and no they don't blue or yellow, thank you. Shop ebay for all of your S1L2 needs cuase they stay available there. Heck, I saw a brand new pair without the card or filter for $399.00 that's a helluva deal for new pipes of any kind. Just saying. |

| Its a way to get around the noise law by saying "for off road use only" that way if you get a noise ticket you can't go back to them
I have S1 and pulled the black caps out of the end caps and really picked up a deep louder sound.
With out cams you only pick up very little more power. |

Bay of Gigs, WA | At a production level of a couple thousand bikes a year, it'll be awhile before there's a lot of stuff available for the Vision, I reckon. Even used stuff on Craigslist, like cheap chrome wheels, etc. |
