Hello all!
Ive been reading and learning since July, when I saw my buddy's ride... (jeffmack) 08 Steel Silver Vision... Custom to the max of course, Completely Lloyded!
I fell in love with it and had to have one with the blessing of the boss of course....
Anyway, I bought "Uncle Dave's" Black Chromed out 08 (30 days later.....) and I love it!!!! He had a spare so he didn't need two of em.
I have called LLoydz 4 or 5 times with no answer and I hate voice mail so I don't leave them. I have emailed him and Kevinx both with no response. Is there something wrong or am I using the wrong method of contact? I want to use his cam kit but the web site says my cam isn't available until next year.... Is that right?
I am definitely not bashing please don't misread what I am saying. I know Lloydz is incredible, I have seen it! I just cant seem to get in touch with them.
So, Pros/Cons??????
Thanks guys!
This forum is incredible!! Thank you!

I will be having the full Lloydz treatment the first of the year, however I have a '11 Vision and will need the newer VM1.5 cams. I spoke with Lloyd today and he gave me the cost, the last time we spoke I forgot to ask how much dough to bring with. lol I will send in my ECU one month before bike week so that I get it back with the REV extend and timing changes already in place, ride down to Daytona and return home later completely done with all that I plan on doing for performance. I have done the little at a time method with my Conquest Demon and have learned the best way is all at once to save money in the long run.

My suggestion is to keep trying to reach them, call before 12pm Eastern, as that was the time frame I was able to contact them.

Good Luck!

Bri is in jail......it's just Lloyd and his wife now. Well I think it's just Lloyd and his wife......he may have hired someone to replace Bri but if he has I don't know anything about it......but it's not like I know all things about Lloydz bidness either.

Crypto, VM1.5? You sure it isn't the VM1-DR cams that are sold now?

That is my terminolgy ScoreBo.....the are basically the VM1's designed in a manner to not require the carriers. lmao

You are correct: HOH-VM1-DR Street Grind, '09-Up Victory $495.00

Sorry for the confusion....

You had me worried! I just got my hands on the DR versions and I was thinking there was an even newer one coming.

Todd, sorry for not answering your question. Stacey derailed me for a moment.

Call Rylan up at The Vic Shop. He can get you all squared away. All of Lloyd's stuff is great and you won't regret spending the money (Rylan can sell it and install it all). http://www.thevicshop.com/

I have run into the same exact thing you described. I never remember until I am home at night and am left with email or voicemail.

What is the downside of changing cams? I could never figure out, If it's so good, why doesn't Victory sell them that way? Got to be some reason. Is it environmental? I wouldn't think it's cost. It would be an easy redesign for a next year model.

Reliability would be my guess. Making the least amount of horsepower to give a good experience to the rider is easier on all the driveline parts (clutch, tranny, etc). The more power you make, the stronger the parts you need, the more money it costs.

Bri is in jail? No way! If you are serious and not joking, PM me . . . Would be interesting to find out why. Met her last couple of years at AVR. I know she is feisty and doesn't take any crap from nobody, but jail?

+1 on Rylan of the Vic Shop!!! He did my cams and fuel controller about a month ago. In at 8:00am and on the road home before noon. Has always answered my emails in a very timely manner. Great guy to do business with!

Thanks guys, I have the cams in stock for both 08's and 09+ bikes. I stock the Lloydz fuel controllers too. Feel free to give me a call.

Just to be clear: VM1 is for 2008, VM1-DR is the same cam but different bearings for the 2009+ years, VM1.5 is a different profile for 116" Lloydz motors (it's not what you want unless you have a 116")

There is no downside to the cam install. They don't do it from the factory for some combination of emissions and/or development time issues. Lloyd spent months/years developing this cam for the new motors, and it shows.

Hell yeah it shows! It shows in the seat of your pants when you crack that throttle open and get thrown back into the seat!

Don't PM...let everyone know. I was just down there in Sept. Things were a bit chaotic....but jail? I hope Lloyd is able to recoup and get some staff to handle the business. I would hate to see Lloyd go out of business because he can't meet customer needs without good staff. Well know he creates great products. But if you can't deliver them....it doesn't matter how great your products are.

If I lived closer, I wouldn't hesitate to go down and help!

Holy cow.....there really is a VM1.5? I just made that up to identify the difference for my own purposes..and of course when typing made the mistake of typing the way I think. lol I will be more precise from now on......

I have only heard great things about Rylan, if I lived close to Rylan he would be my wrench for performance without a doubt. I do own a few of his shot glasses.....now those things are awesome, just right for a shot of crown.

Thank you everyone for the input!

I was pretty much pre-sold but my not so local dealer was steering me toward the Ness stuff..... He said he had heard of more bad than good with the lloydz gear and that he used to try and sell it but couldn't.

Yes, I do have a local dealer but multiple pre-buy bad experiences forces me to drive and extra 50 miles for a great dealer.

I emailed Lloyd a couple times lately and heard back from him within a day or so. Evidently Bri had a personal fund using Lloyds money and he wasn't too happy about it.
