I have devoted the past 7 years of my life to the NPP satellite, and tonight we finally launch it!

We have less than 4 hours until the launch of the NPP spacecraft on a Delta II rocket! The weather forecast remains at a 100% chance of "GO" conditions for launch at 5:48 a.m. EDT (2:48 a.m. PDT) Friday morning. NASA's continuous coverage of the countdown and launch will begin at 3:01 a.m. EDT on NASA TV at http://www.nasa.gov/ntv and on NASA's Launch Blog at http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/NPP/launch/launch_blog.html.

now this is cool I use to weld the rocket motors that put the satellite into orbit for the thiokol corp. I understand just how you feel thank you for your hard work.

Here I am (the closest one next to the satellite on the left on the platform) right before we put the fairing on the rocket.

NPP was successfully launched on Friday morning and it is working perfectly!

Many people say my Vision looks like a spacecraft. I don't see the resemblence at all.

Cometman,

That is too cool! Now I guess you have to get into the "service after the sale" part of the job.

That is one fine looking "Brownie Camera" you got there!
