Posts: 741 Central New York | Mine is on the left fork just above the axle. I must admit that I am a little perplexed that the dealer didn't know where to put it.
Anyway, congrats on the new ride, you will love it. |

Posts: 104 ROCHESTER,NY | OK, thank's for food for thought. A good friend friend came over to see the "VISION" and we came up with a solution. A piece of diamond plate aluminum, a rough pattern on a scrap piece of paper and an hour in his shop. I now have a custom inspection plate, left frontside where the securement hook is. After getting it done and on the bike, I told my buddy.... 39.95 plus shipping and handling. He just laughed, but really,I think we might have something here.I will post some pic's as soon as it stop's raining here in upstate ny.
A good friend...... A backyard shop....... and some odd peice's of aluminum........ PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Inspection plate from the friendly HD store that is nice and shiny plus has a hole to easily attach to the gas tank. You will also need a screw and matching nut. Was actually under $10.

I am re-reading that law....I think I am breaking it. But I promise to be nice to the officer, I am hoping that he won't mind. Maybe I will just open the saddle bag to put my gloves up....and leave it open for him to inspect.

I am not a lawyer nor do I play one on TV. These are forward looking statements. Past performance do not imply future results. Yada yada...well you know the rest. |

Posts: 79 Austin, Texas | My Texas inspection sticker is inside the trunk on the flat spot between the two latches. I'll probably get a ticket if I get stopped but I don't want the typical sticker placement at the license plate. |
