Posts: 102 Parkersburg WV | Hi. Has anyone installed a rear mud flap ? Did it do any good ? I just made one and put it on. I will let you know after I ride in the rain if it kept the back of the bike cleaner.

Posts: 88 Lavon, TX | Be forewarned, it was not until shortly after I added a Drag Specialties mud flap to the rear of my front fender that the fender (rear plastic half) subsequently cracked at the mounting holes.
Three of my friends experienced this as well. Two of them experienced a loss of steering ability when the rear half fell and wedged itself against the frame. Luckily, no one was hurt.
I was able to find an OEM replacement fender (rear plastic half) for about $50. I added fender washers on both sides when installing this one. I now have a gently used mud flap which I will NOT re-install. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | There's another thread here about front fender mudflaps, it may be good to check that out. I made a mod to my broken fender back half and now can sport a mudflap with confidence. As far as the rear mudflap goes, would anyone care to share how they did theirs, I'm comptemplating on putting one there as well. |

Posts: 423 northwest florida | thanks for the head's up on the front fender. I will look at re-enforcing the mounting brackets if I go that way. |
