Posts: 164 Quad Cities, IL | Here it is, 25,000 thoroughly enjoyed miles! I wasn't looking for this photo op, but when I pulled into work yesterday the 25000 was just staring at me. Couldn't resist putting the crack-berry camera to use.
I know 25k isn't much in the way of mileage compared to many others (yes, I'm jealous), but it is a great milestone for me considering I have 4 wee ones at home. I have put on 2x more miles in the 21 months of owning a VISION than the 5+ years I had my 'zuki Boulevard.
I have enjoyed most of those miles solo, finding creative ways home from work or taking the bike on the road for work (don't tell). But I have also been able to share plenty of great rides with my beautiful wife and the two oldest boys (14 and 12), who all love riding this thing with me. And even a few with my 9 year old son who is just able to reach the boards. As for my 7 year old daughter, she can't reach the floor-boards yet, but soon enough.
I look forwad to many more miles and am very encouraged by the high-milers in this group that this bike is hardly broken in and has many, many more miles in her.
Just thought I would share with this great group of fellow VISION-Riders.
Keep riding, ride safe & God Bless!

| Congrats, great story. My son rode on the back of my Harley when he was little. Most fun I had on that bike. |

| So in 4 years the vision will be worn out. Like most of us we wish we had the iron but you do and the adventures of the open rods you have ridden.
Have a very good life an keep the shinny side up. |

Posts: 164 Quad Cities, IL | The pic was taken yesterday, 15 Sep 2011...in lovely Moline, IL. The high was 58F. My morning commutes are already in the low 40s, but that doesn't stop me. I'll be riding in much colder before too long. I love it when wet or cold and all of a sudden the VISION is the only bike out there. That's how we roll. |
