Posts: 154 Cabot Arkansas | Wow,we have been riding the BRP and great smokey mountains down to Helen Ga via Franklin and High Lands NC and home 1800 miles the last 5 days .What beautiful riding.I'm catching up on the latest threads and see alot of negative post about the vision. In just over 2 years I have put 35K + miles on mine and my wife has just over 33K on her Vision and thankfully both of our's have been outstanding. We have only had to change the oil and filters as scheduled and I replaced the headlight bulbs(yes it is a time consuming PITA) around 20K on both bikes .The seats are still GREAT on 700+ mile days and everything still functions like new, the radio and speakers sound fine to me even @ 80mph.Our fenders still look new at all the attachments. My paint still looks new.I have not yet changed the fork oil as my local wrench tells me it's not really needed every 15K and after riding the dragon and all the twisties we rode the last 5 days it still rides as well as the new Vision I test rode last week.I do have some front fairing buzzing noise around 3K rpm that I haven't been able to locate yet and after I put on the Ness big honkers and Llyod's performance package she started popping alot but a dyno tune by kevinx took care of most of that plus MORE power and mpg .I'm sorry for you folks that have had issue's and hope that you can get them resolved properly. The Vision is not perfect but IMHO it is the BEST all around touring bike available. In over 40 years of riding the Vision is the most comfortable easist riding motorcycle I have ever ridden. |

| I agree totally, owners should do more riding and less complaining. The bike is the same as the day they bought it but then they complain about stupid stuff. The rule is to decide not to want it BEFORE you buy it.
Anny has 40K on her now and I need a destination or not....
I was looking at your signature. When I was out at Sturgis this year, I was talking with an older couple. They were very nice people. We talked about children and Sue passing away 11 years ago. The wife said, "You must be a very religious person." I said, "I wasn't but I wasn't the type that believed in the Golden Rule for an hour on Sunday and forgot the rest of the week." She said, "My husband has been the minister of our local church for 35 years and we know exactly what you mean."

Pisgah and back to Ind about 1400+ miles and my 09 VV preformed flawlessly. All the up shifting and down shifting and switchbacks not even a hiccup. Runs like new and looks like new. I wouldn't own anything else..unless it was a triked out VV |

Posts: 329 scotts valley, California | I've put a little over 40k miles on my Vision with no serious complaints. Sometimes I get into those frames of mind where I would complain if I got stuck with a solid gold knife. Keller, my Vision, has been good to me. She squeeked a bit at first until we replaced the rear sproket. And I have printed some negative post about the "jerk" but I've never ridden a nicer bike. Over 600 miles a day for a seventy year old man says a lot for the bike. This last trip to Sturgis was so good that I went about a thousand miles out of my way on the way home, just for the joy of the ride. Four hundred forty miles from Las Vegas to Dinuba, with a side trip through Death Valley never saw the air temp drop below a hundred was a piece of cake for the bike (minor dehydration problems with my body). I am convinced that there just is not any better touring bike.
Relative to the comments about religion on this thread, I, too, will fight for each individual's right to choose. Personally, after years of "exploration", I came to a point where I had to make a decision: is the Bible the Word of God or not. If my choice is no, it goes in the trash; if yes, I will live by it 24/7.
It is clear (to me) that I can not take what I want and leave the rest. |

Posts: 444 Bay of Gigs, WA | Oh yeah? Well, listen here. It bugs the dickens out of me I still have to get up out of my chair to go ride my Vision. If they'd have made the handlebars narrower, I could put it in my living room where it belongs, so I could just ride it out the door when I want. But Noooo-it's too wide! When is Polaris going to wise up here? My old Honda 450 DOHC went through the door. So, oObviously, it was far superior! |

Mine has too much air in the tires.
I've written several letters, taken photos, etc. but Victory still ignores me.
And my 'stealer' is no better. They offered to sell me new tires with less air, but I new that was a scam. So I bought the new tires, had them swap the air from the old tires to the new.
I'll give a ride report but I'm suspicious that what they did didn't solve the problem.
Typical. |

Many posts and replies I delete after reading them because they are not helpful and/or do not help with a resolution.

Posts: 102 Cedar, Michigan | The 2008 Vision is my 18th bike and I have only just over 5K on it so I can not speak to its longevity, all I can say is I haven't had all the horrible problems others state they have encountered. I can say it is head and shoulder above any bike I have throw my leg over in the comfort category. I have had a cooler looking bike, many faster bikes, bikes that got better MPG, and yes even bikes the would sprout wings and fly in the sky like a UFO. (I know, I know UFOs don't have wings) But never more comfort and technology. I love my VV, if you don't love yours I'm sure you can find a Hardly Running Davidson dealer to get a "real motorcycle". |

Yes, we bought them both at Gregory. Hubby (Maverick) had also bought a 2006 Jackpot from them before and I had an 08 Kingpin. Good folks, we are lucky to have them so close.

Posts: 444 Bay of Gigs, WA | The only reason I was mad at my Vic about the width of the handlebars is because it could use a video screen on it 'cause it's so comfortable, I could sit in it all day and watch football. But who wants to watch TV in the rain? So I'm way happier than any cowboy with my New American Motorcycle! |
