Posts: 785 Mt. Vernon, WASH. | Manual Ch. 11.4 shows two 6 mm screws accessed from inside the belt 'loop'(the tire side) then reinstall and tighten to 8 ft/lb (96 in/lb, donot forget the blue lock tite) go buy an inch pound torque wrench @ Horrible Freight.
Be sure and repeat the hot rodders prayer while doing the remove/install. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | i just guarded the bike on overspray and painted while on the bike and I had the belt removed. It does make the bike look better when it is washed. |

Posts: 639 Tri Cities, WA | I did the same just taped and masked the area off and used primer and rattle can paint right on the bike. 30 minutes later blam black and sweet..

Posts: 96 Princeton, IL | I actually took it off while the tire and belt were still on. If you have smaller hands it helps. I have a cheap powder coater I bought at harbor freight and I powdercoated it matte black. It does look much better. |
