| Is anyone else as displeased with the Garmin Zumo 660 as I am?
The screen is all washed out in the daylight -- no contrast.
Words are in smaller type face and hard to read.
More touch strokes to get to a destination
The main problem though is you just can't read the screen. I think it is so bad that it is a safety issue - a distraction.
I have returned it and the new one has the same washed out screen.
My old Zumo 550 was great. I assumed that the 660 and the integration into the Cross Country could only be better. I have talked with a number of Harley riders who are displeased with the 660 also.
I have written the president of Garmin with my complaints and have not received a response so I think it is time to turn this over to a lawyer as a class action lawsuit.
Send me your name and address if you agree.

Really, a lawsuit? To be honest I think it is a bit of overkill especially for what you described as your issue with the Zumo 660. I do not think you would win and I also think you would be clogging up an already over taxed system with a frivolous suit that could keep a serious issue from being heard in a timely fashion.
I am also not sure if what you described would be a categorized as a defect or a feature that is not meeting your expectations or performance standards.

Having said that, if I had it to do over again, I would have kept my 550. After owning both I like the 550 better.

I was able to just get a refund through Amazon. Hope you get something worked out. |

| Have to ask, you DID adjust the brightness setting didn't you? I believe it comes set at 50%. I set mine to 100% and it is just fine. Certainly no worse than any other screen in direct sunlight. |

+1
Other than when the sun is directly behind me, I have no problem reading my 660. They do fail though. I'm on my third. They replace them fast but too bad they fail to begin with.
