Posts: 804 Perry Hall, MD | My GPS has bluetooth and an MP3 player built in. Just plug into the speaker wire that is in the glovebox and music, directions, and phone are all coming through the stereo. It includes a plug to attach a microphone for the phone, but I have not tried to use it thinking that it is best just to pull over if a call comes in. |

Posts: 575 Spirit Lake IA "Birthplace of Victory Motorcycles" | Hot damned! First the lighted rear Victory badge and now this BT! Guys and gals at mother Vic or their suppliers do really read these boards. Many people have been working independently to try to get this done with not much luck. Looks like this snaps into existing harness then to head unit. I will assume this will fit all Visions as I think the harnesses are the same. Might be worth getting one. I have BT on my Zumo and can get directions and talk to my wife and phone, but the BT from radio to hemet has not been possible. Nice! |

Posts: 31 West Chester, PA / 08 VVPT | Along with it fitting the 2012 Vision and Cross bikes, they also list:
Victory 2012 Hammer 8-Ball
Victory 2012 Hammer S
Victory 2012 Jackpot
Victory 2012 Kingpin
Victory 2012 Vegas
Victory 2012 Vegas 8-Ball
Victory 2012 Vegas High Ball
I'm confused! When did these bikes get radios?

Posts: 492 Indianapolis, IN | Looked up the radio part number on the victory web site and found that the 2012 radio is listed as #2411676 and the 2011 and earlier is listed as #4012272. I'm guessing this bluetooth device will not work with the older radio. The wire harness is the same part number including the 2012's and earlier.

My guess is that this will be for rider to passenger communication and integration with a Bluetooth GPS.
Disappointing that it is only for 2012 bikes. |

Posts: 71 Willmar, MN | I have been talking to my parts guy for about 3 weeks about this. I needed a new headset and he told me to wait until this came out...should be next week according to what he said yesterday. This is the dongle for the bluetooth communication...replaces the old headsets. It requires a dongle and headset for driver and passenger but should interface with everything else. He is hoping to have one next week or so to play with. |

Fountain Inn, SC United States | I asked my Victory contacts about the fitment of this part.
Victory says, "It will work on any bike with a factory radio, so any Vision 2008-present or Cross country 2010-present." |

Sad thing is dealers will never question. I am 100% certain if I call them and ask it it fits an 09, they will say "NO.". Love this site! |

Posts: 337 san antonio, tx | Nice! (I think). I sure wish they would give more detail though. It's a Senna, and I have the Scala setup. I wonder if they are compatable? The pricing seems relatively reasonable too.
An added safety bonus for me will be that it may sway me into wearing my full face more often while riding 1 up since I have the Scala mounted in it.
Good job, Victory! |

I believe it will allow you to do away with the hardwired communication system.
With a compatable bluetooth device mounted in your helmet, you'll be able to hear good to great quality stereo music from your stock stereo, (including any peripheral you may have plugged in such as an Ipod, CD changer, etc.), communicate with a passenger, communicate with other riders, recieve GPS instructions, and use your cell phone hands free.
You will still need to purchase a compatable bluetooth headseat for it to do anything at all. Hopefully it's compatible with other systems besides Senna. |

| Bluetooth is a wireless standard so it should work with any bluetooth headset. But untill it is released and someone can try it out your guess is as good as mine. |

Posts: 880 Orlando, FL | Guys, not to be obtuse, but you can purchase a great bluetooth dongle on the net for less than $50 bucks and get the same results. $155 sounds incredibly expensive to me. The only advantage the Vic model might give you is ease of installation if it is designed to just plug into a current connector. I'm not sure that's worth a three times the going price for a bluetooth dongle.

Posts: 3773 Pittsburgh, PA | i saw victory is listing the headsets as well for the bluetooth.. i think the headset was $150. I wouldnt mind this for something like adding music through bluetooth (without headphones) personally i have NO needs for communication headset for my and my passenger. if i need to tellher something i tap her leg and she leans towards me. other than that we dont gab whole lot during our motorcycle trips. we're more or less enjoying the scenery |

The bluetooth I have is a reciever only. It plugs in to the ipod cable and I stream my music and gps from my phone over the vision speakers. I currently have no need of a headset but have tested it with a regular bluetooth earpiece and when a call comes in it would switch over to the earpiece. |

Sounds like the set up I currnetly have. Although this new one from Vic might have more usability for communication purposes. We will have to see when it comes out. |
