| One of the things people complain about with the Vision is the cost of tires, well, here is a great deal by Direct Line Parts. http://www.directlineparts.com/ They just started their Labor Day sale which runs through next Tuesday and they give you an additional 10% off when you enter the code LABOR2011 in the coupon code box when checking out. I just ordered a SET of Dunlop Elite 3s for the GL1800 Goldwing (uses the same tire sizes as our Visions and Cross bikes) with FREE shipping for a total cost after discount of $307.85. That is the best deal I think you can find for the Dunlop tires! One other thing, the sale applies to all items, even those currently on sale!

Just to let you you know, Directline Parts do not charge for shipping the tires..and of course if you don't live in that state, no state tax.... The best deal is to buy the set of elite3's for $341.98 instead of individually..... Examples below:
Here:http://www.hondadirectlineofshadyside.com/stores/product.asp?pid=2381&str=4&ID=516422559 or here: http://www.directlineparts.com/product.asp?pid=2381&str=4 (The price did indeed go up on their webpage.. I paid I believe $319.00 for a set about 3 weeks ago! ? )
Plus, they are having an Labor day sale use this at the coupon code: LABOR2011 and get 10% off orders over $100 dollars.. good time to buy tires!

Joe, I still post occasionally on the Illinois board at VTXOA, I had both a customized '03 C model and a '03 GL1800 Goldwing, I traded the wing in for the Vision and sold the VTX 4 months later when I realized (or so I thought!) that I didn't need a second bike. I bought a slightly used Victory Kingpin last year and the difference between it and the VTX is amazing, talk about a light handling yet extremely powerful and comfortable cruiser! |

| Guys, don't wait, the normal price of the E3s from Direct Line Parts is $342 a set, the Labor Day sale gets you another 10% off of that price and still includes free shipping! They usually run a sale during all major holidays though so if you get onto their email list you will get the notification of their sales and the sale code to enter to get the extra discount. |

I am a member over there as well. I was thinking about hipping people to the sale too. I know
there are two new members here from there. Willtill & Trell. Both former Goldwing owners.
Welcome guys!
I just bought a scissor jack off ebay. Time to make a first attempt at removing a Vision rear wheel.
I have a set of E3's sitting. I should order another set now so I have replacements on hand. I am out
of room in the garage. Do you think the wife would find the tires as a decorative end table base?

Yeah, I still occasionally venture over there too! ...
I've never owned 2 bikes at the same time.... but I wouldn't mind having something lighter for around town. The Kingpin is a sweet looking bike... similar to the VTX in looks huh? |
