Posts: 40 Kansas | I have a 08 Premium Tour Vision that recently was in for a warranty claim. Cheese wedge was peeling and the gas cap was leaking. Dealer promptly made a claim with Poliarstar, not sure on spelling, for these items and replacement items were installed. Dealer called me back to explain that the $50.00 deductible is defined "per incident". Translation, I owed $50 for each item I was requested fixed. Dealer explained that was not aware of this policy and took care of the entire bill on his dime. So this is just a heads up if you have several things needing attention be prepared. Dealer advised though if your issue involves several linked pieces, say brakes, that would only require one deductible if several components are replaced. Enjoy the fall riding season, but watch out for the leaves. |

Posts: 1359 New Bohemia, Va | I'm getting down to the end of my warranty and I need to look for peeling cheese wedges and the such. I would have never thought that would be covered under warranty. I will say when I just had my voltage regulator replaced under warranty and the deductable was mentioned, I was told there was no deductable. I wonder what the difference is. |

Posts: 3204 Memphis | Nemo, I had my stock seat replaced last year under warranty due to the seams splitting. I asked if I could pay the $300 difference and upgrade to the leather seat and my dealer said "sure". The leather one is not heated but sure is nice (also came with a leather backrest). I'm shopping for a good deal on getting my original vinyl/heated seat recovered (I got to keep it). Just something you might be interested in pursuing. |

Posts: 1359 New Bohemia, Va | now I'm really confused. I think your dealer just did you a favor. Who else has had their seat replaced under warranty. My was splitting at 30,000 and the dealer said it wasn't covered, and the one yesterday says a lot of them do that but they weren't cover. I can see if it was under the orginal warranty, but the extended, I wish. |

Posts: 3204 Memphis | I was under extended and the local Polaristar rep signed off on it (last summer, just prior to the AVR). Not just a "nod-nod-wink-wink" from my dealer. The only thing my dealer did for me was let me keep the old seat. I'd ask your dealer to ask his Rep if Polaristar has ever approved it. The correct answer is "Yes." My argument was "Show me any piece of paper that states the seat is a "Wear item".

Posts: 40 Kansas | Polistar would not cover my seat that was coming apart in the fabric not the seams. Said they would only cover the seat in the heating element quit working. Dealer covered the cost of this repair as well. I have to say I have a pretty understanding dealer. |

Posts: 374 Tucson, AZ | I had my rear shock replaced after 2 years on extended warranty. No cost to me. The original shocks had a known problem by Victory, but not all shocks affected. If you look at the old part number and new on there is a difference. Mine had leaked all the oil out, but would hold air. It bottomed out on the smallest bump. New one works as it should.

Posts: 43 CASHTON, WI United States | THERE ARE DIFFERENT PLANS AVAILABLE. SOME WITH A DEDUCTIBLE SOME WITHOUT. NEW PLANS ALL HAVE A DEDUCTIBLE. THE DEDUCTIBLE IS PER VISIT NOT PROBLEM. THERE ARE DIFFERENT COMPANIES INVOLVED. THE ONLY WAY TO FIND WHAT YOU HAVE IS A UNIT INQUIRY THROUGH YOUR DEALER. |

so true, I wanted to say the same thing. Sadly, I put mine in a "SAFE PLACE", so safe that I can't find it. But I'm not asking a bunch of questions either. |

Chiming in again, my seat nor my shock is covered under my contract. You have to read the words, it will tell you. Also, the warrany guy said NO Upholstery is covered on any contract. So I'm curious of those who had their seat replaced under warranty unless it was first year. |

Posts: 64 St. Louis, MO United States | Dealing with this issue right now. Radio was locking up on my 09'. Took it to the dealer and they were told by Polaris to RE-Flash it. Well as some of you on this site have mentioned that this would not work. I told them it would not work but they proceeded anyway as per Polaris. Well, then they came out and said the Radio is DEAD.
THEN, they tell me I need to pay $175 for a new radio and $225 to re-install it.
I told them it was under the 5 year warranty and they said they would look into it. Finally got word yesterday that Polaris and Polaristar have argured enough and one of them agreed to cover it.
Still gonna cost me $50 for a factory defective radio....
Maybe if they read this web site they would have known the futility of trying to have the dealer re-flash the radio... |
