Yup. Mine start to loosen up every 1500 miles or so. I was thinking about truing some silcone in the holes to help hold them in, keep them from loosening. I think the problem is that they screw into plastic.

I took mine off and don't miss them at all, never missed a screw and was able to help out a friend.

Take the screws out and go to the hardware and buy replacements (stainless) that are the same size (same thread) but about 1/2" - 3/4" longer. When one of mine fell off I checked to see how far the screws actually thread into the mount and found that they only screw in about 3/8". I took a fine piece of wire and checked how deep the screw hole is in the mount and it's about an inch deep. Conclusion: longer screws have not come loose since I changed them out over 15k miles ago.

Funny you mention this, my right one just departed me the other day at about 50 MPG-

I am putting in a warranty claim- will see what happens.

"Funny you mention this, my right one just departed me the other day at about 50 MPG- " How does MPG effect wind against the deflector? :P I thought some blue Loctite on the screws. I think a plastic pellet insert would be better but I don't have access to small round plastic rod anymore.

Do yours look like a sheet metal screw or a machine screw?

My screws have not come loose, but the deflectors became easier to turn over time. Eventually highway speed would turn them inward every time. I tightend the screws and it helped. The screws were not loose at all. I was afraid I was going to strip them out they were so tight. I went ahead and torqued down on them anyway. They turned without stripping and now the deflectors don't turn on their own.

I won't say I didn't have any problems when mine where on, but I didn't. They stayed on fine and tight until I took them off myself. I don't even think about them now, and really don't notice any major difference. And, at this time they are not for sale, sorry. If you need new ones, get the matching metals ones from CycleOps. And no, I'm not getting any kickback, I just like the looks and no one else is making after-market ones.

When I bought my bike the right one was missing. I experimented while travelling down the super slab and could not tell a difference. So I took the left one off.

I could tell the difference with the uppers whether they were in/out quite easily. Then went further and added the lowers and is like night & day difference!
