Has anyone designed a "protector" of sorts to protect the battery? |

Has anyone had, or heard of, problems because of this design? If not then I wouldn't worry about it too much. Either that or just get some sort of all weather blanket and rig it to cover the battery if you are worried. |

An added benefit of which for hot climate users is an increase in the battery's operating temperature range specification. |

| I know the battery is kinda out front under the front rear fender back, but I have not read of any major or siginifcant issues on this board or with other Vision riders about battery being hurt or damaged due to the location...Perhaps there are some, but apparently few and far between.... |

| Insurance takes care of fires. The battery I believe has a longer life being in a breez way like it is. My 08 still has the same Yuasa battery in it and going strong. |

Several have reported cracked mounting tabs on the rear portion of the front fender. If you add weight and wind resistance with mud flaps you will likely experience the same problem even sooner. Here's a link to a related thread: http://www.vision-riders.com/bb/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=2373&posts=34&highlight=cracked%20front%20fender&highlightmode=1 |
