Fountain Inn, SC United States | I've been tossing this idea around for sometime but haven't been able to make it something official so I think it might just be an informal ad-hoc thing to do.
At the AVR, it would be great idea to have Vision-Riders members gather in a location and show off what they've done to their bikes (exhaust, lighting, custom parts, etc.) and exchanging ideas. Not a bike show per se, since no awards would be given. Instead it would be a place where folks could, for instance, hear different exhausts side-by-side, or see firsthand different LED lighting packages others have installed and find out what's involved in doing these projects.
Would any of you be interested in taking part in something like this??
I know its short notice but, right now I think its best to plant the seed and maybe we can have a spontaneous accessory/customizing fair. It would be great to have some of the 3rd party vendors take part as well.
Thoughts?

Posts: 575 Spirit Lake IA "Birthplace of Victory Motorcycles" | I'll be there . . . may need to print up a banner and set a range of times, etc so people can drop by. I'm getting cammed Fri from 8 - 12. I went to Arnolds Park last night and spent 60 minutes just talking to people about the bike. Kinda fun unless you are in a hurry. Maybe the AVR folks would let you mark off a designated area for Vision - Riders parking? Hope to see you there! |

Really depends on whether those that have done customizing/ pipe conversions/ lighting, etc are willing to hang around a talk about their bikes.
MAN314 - I'll ask about squaring off a section for parking. Each year they handle bike parking slightly differently. Some years they allow parking on the grass, other years you have to park in the paved lot. On the grass, under the shade trees, is always preferred. Like I said, this is really an ad-hoc idea. We'll see how things go and maybe next year it will be scheduled thing.

Posts: 169 Iowa | I would suggest meeting behind the AVR registration tent in the shaded grassy area. I'm chairing the AVR this year, and I think it would be great to have a bunch of mod Visions in a row showing their stuff.
I'm working the registration tent both days, so if it's close by the tent, I can peak out and check the mods. |

Fountain Inn, SC United States | Ok so those with nonstock exhausts, audio, lighting, etc let's try to congregate during Saturday near the registration tent. This will definitely draw a crowd

Posts: 575 Spirit Lake IA "Birthplace of Victory Motorcycles" | See everyone tomorrow for breakfast. Good to meet Jedi Jeff, Kioti, and several others today. I've heard 8 am and 9 am as official times to meet for Breakfast at K of C . . . maybe I'll shoot for 8:30 am. It was nice to see more vendors and actually some food stalls this year. Lloydz was drawing a large crowd. Beautiful day! |

Posts: 575 Spirit Lake IA "Birthplace of Victory Motorcycles" | Jeff,
Sorry we didn't connect again. With all the activities, poker run, scavenger hunt, factory tours, etc. It got to be a busy Sat. Did go to K of C breakfast at 9, but with so many people, it was hard to pick out the Vision Rider members. We just sat with a couple from DES Moines. I like the idea of an accessory show and tell. Maybe we can work it into the formal activities next year with a set time. If we had a Vision Riders banner or section of tables at K of C, might be easier to pull everyone together. I'm in the K of C here and could help make that happen. 9 am was also the start fir Red Cross poker run. Great meeting you. |

Fountain Inn, SC United States | Theinformal accessory show was indeed informal and really spanned the entire day. Next year I hope we can make it into the schedule |
