Posts: 394 Tucson, AZ | On August 8th Sam and Linda Mc Clintock were killed riding from Tucson to Sturgis when a vehicle turned left in front of them. They were dead at the scene. What I cannot understand is that no charges were filed. How can someone kill innocent people with no consequences? |

Posts: 324 New Orleans, La, | I and we as a community of motorcyclist will mourn their passing. Gods speed Sam and Linda. What the hell is happening this summer? Have the cages declared all out war on cyclist? If so no one told me. The frequency of these tragic events is scary. |

Posts: 457 Green Bay, WI United States | Thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends. Below is what I found on the incident. Looks like DPS is still looking into the crash. I will be contacting AZ ABATE Chapter to make sure they monitor this situation.
A Tucson couple was killed over the weekend in a motorcycle crash northeast of Flagstaff, officials said.
Samuel McClintock, 59, and Linda McClintock, 50, were riding a motorcycle together on U.S. 160 near Tuba City Friday when a pickup truck made a left turn, crashing into the motorcycle, according to the state Department of Public Safety. Tuba City is about 80 miles northeast of Flagstaff.
The McClintocks were wearing helmets at the time of the crash, which happened just after 8 a.m., officials said.
They both died at the scene.
No citations have been issued, as the crash is still under investigation, according to DPS.

Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | I hate to see that. Two people from my town we killed 2 weeks ago. A 60 y/o male and 59 y/o female passenger slowed to make a turn. They were rearended my an 18 y/o driving an F-150. Dead on scene. The biker they were riding with rode into a ditch to avoid being struck. No charges filed on pick-up driver. A medic that worked crash told me he was doing 70. The limit is 40. That speed is not confirmed, but geeez, he still didn't have control of his vehicle.

This is just an ugly reminder to us all. Assume every driver is out to get you.
Safe travels to all. |
