Posts: 2300 Georgia, west of Atlanta | Does the number 110 denote a 110 year anniversary ?? That's a joke...... That would be like having a 40 year wedding anniversary, but having one wife for 25 years ( Springfield: original Indians ) , #2 wife ( Clymer mini bikes in the 70's ) 5 years , #3 wife ( Gilroy shit bikes ) 5 years , and wife #4 ( Kings Mtn bikes ) 5 more years, yeah that really adds up...................
I do hope for Victoty's sake they come up with something good with this next reiteration of Indian, but lets be real about the time line.... |

Posts: 1359 New Bohemia, Va | Steve, I don't believe they'll let that die. The Indian keepers want to maintain that time like being in a coma during the off years. The die hards haven't left the 1950's and the rest of the wanna-bees just would like to own one. So it is as real as it gets, yep, 110 years ago the Indian motorcycle was born.... |

Posts: 411 Dallas, Texas | While the immediate future may not change Indian much, let profit monies come into the picture, and see what happens. Ultimately, I don't think that Polaris will fund a losing product line. Given the economics of today, semi-mass producing a product line that targets a select few really isn't going to work, imho. Now, makinig Indians just a bit more streamlined, and easier, less costly, to produce and support, makes sense. So that maybe the real future for the Polaris Indian, it's just a little too early to say it. Of course that's imho. |
