Posts: 329 scotts valley, California | Hey, Cap'n, keep me advised. I can kind of picture a luggage rack mounted on the tour pack mount, but can't visualize how to finish off the area where the back seat is now, |

Posts: 2118 Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | For gosh sakes Guy - buy a dufflebag to put your stuff in. Maybe a goalie bag from a sporting goods store. ANYTHING to cover that mess. Your bike looks like something from Thailand or Bombay India. Let's not let our streets look like that !

maybe that is why I'm so satisfied with my Vision. When I got the Vision I was riding the older Goldwing. But when I first starting riding 20+ years ago I was riding a CB750 with NO Bags. I had a lot of creative ways to go go grocery shopping or go visiting. I would have to haul ALL of my army gear from my house to the base when we had a call out. That consisted of a full rucksack and a full duffle bag. The main thing was you better have it TIGHT or it would come off or get tangled up in the rear wheel.
I'm more than happy with all the room and storage space the Vision has, especially when I put on the saddleman bag.
Happy Motoring everyone. Some of you only have a few days left for riding for the year so get to it... |

Posts: 2118 Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | Sorry, Guy. I ain't no Saint. Here is a picture from 1984 when a buddy and I were off to tour the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. My bike - a custom blue Virago (me with blue leathers). Gosh I was good looking back then - actually better now that I have had the gentle treatment of old age ....

Posts: 329 scotts valley, California | DT, your photo of the pic up bed looks like it has way too much class for me. The piece of plywood worked just dandy for 4300 miles! Actually the concept in your photo is very close to my hopes. If the front end conformed to the back of a solo seat, and if there were small side openings near the front in addition to an opening tailgate, this could be just the ticket!
Now if it had an optional hydrolic dump feature..... |
