Posts: 825 , WI | Shortly after returning from my last road trip to Utah I received an email from Victory asking if I could attend the Dealer Meeting in Nashville. They wanted me to share my ride stories with the dealers. YES!!!
I left Milwaukee at 3:00am Tuesday morning and arrived in Nashville at 12:30pm. Riding to Nashville-
I stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Resort. WOW, what a place!!
On display were the new 2012 Victory's, the 2012 demo fleet, the 2011 Indians, some custom bikes from Ness and my Vision 8-Ball.

My job was to talk about the reliability of the Victory's based on my road trips and past 8 IBA rides. This would be fun. Spreading the word -

Posts: 825 , WI | I had some long but fun days. I was back to the hotel room at 11:00pm every night and up again at 5:00am each day. Wednesday I shared the stories from 8:30am to 6:00pm, the temps reached 99 degrees. Thursday I was back at 6:30am and again shared the stories with the dealers untill 11:00am. Thursday was cooler - only 97!
One of the dealer groups at the Victory Comfort tent -

Posts: 825 , WI | My favorite part was all the people I met and was able to take to. Highlights - Mike Dapper - What a fun guy!! The Victory engineers - I really enjoyed talking to this group. Victory GM Steve Menneto - I sat with Steve for a while and explained how IBA rides are documented. Sharing stories with 100's of dealers. Rob "Hollywood" Cornelius from Victory Police Motorcycles - Rob grinding floorboards with one hand -
Also at the meeting - The Ness family, Rick Fairless and Michael Song -

Posts: 825 , WI | During my off time I went to see the Grand Old Opry building and ...........................Cooter's "Dukes of Hazzards" Museum.
My only regret is that I didn't spend the $5 to have my picture taken in the General Lee!
I left Nashville Friday morning and headed back home to Milwaukee. It was a warm ride but no rain.
I have a few more things for my scrap book. I will always remember these 4 days -

Should have asked them to have you ride one of their bikes on the Cross Country Road Test they have planned.
Did you notice anything different on the new Vision to justify the price cut?
Did you ask why they discontinued the 8-Ball versions of the Vision and Kingpin?
My dealer was particularly upset with the loss of the Kingpin 8-Ball.

I sat on a new Vision and I did not notice anything different.
After the last group of dealers I was able to do a demo ride. I was going to take the Cross Country Tour but decided to take the High-Ball. That was fun!
The dealers that I talked to said they didn't sell many Vision 8-Balls. |
